We had the good fortune of connecting with Hillary Gribble & Taylor Pennartz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hillary Gribble & Taylor Pennartz, how does your business help the community or world?
Our vision for The Arrangement project is to help as many people as possible in our community through our love and passion for flowers. We have been blessed to attend floral design workshops across the city and have developed a skill where we can share with others in the community who may not have the opportunity to attend such workshops. We have found that working with flowers and creating beautiful and unique floral arrangements can uplift, restore, and build relationships within a community and it’s been such a blessing to be a part of! Thanks to our paid workshops, we are able to go into local non-profits in the DFW area and do similar workshops for little to no cost to the non-profit participants. It’s the best example of paying it forward!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As this is our side project, it’s been so fun to work together on this mission. We are best friends and it’s been neat to see how our friendship has not only blossomed but also our appreciation for each other’s strengths and weaknesses. We work well as a team and it’s been such a joy to expand our reach and create beauty for other people. Like anything in life, there are difficulties along the way but our faith and friendship has helped us weather. Regardless of any type of success, our main focus is helping and encouraging others. The cool part is that we get to do it by the way of something we love – flowers!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
East Dallas and Lake Highlands is where we spend a lot of our time so a morning at the Dallas Arboretum or at Whiterock Lake followed by lunch on the patio at Smokey Rose is hard to beat! It’s been fun to see new restaurants such as RM 12:20 Bistro, Vector Brewing, Lounge Here, and Resident Taquieria (to name a few!) make their debut in this part of the city…can’t recommend enough!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Since The Arrangement Project is more of a mission and mentality, there are so many people to shoutout for making it such a success! From our church group, who were the first ones to support and encourage us with the mission, to the non-profits who gave us a chance to come in and host, and to the paid workshop participants, who have attended our workshops and have financially supported the mission, it’s been amazing to see how the community has rallied together to impact so many.
