We had the good fortune of connecting with Eleanor Ward and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eleanor, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted people to be able to fully live their lives after loss of a loved one. I lost my husband and oldest son some years ago. I struggled with my grief,in fact my life fell apart. I finally realized that I did not want others to go through what I had went through. I developed a grief management system so that people could take their lives back. The program allows you to take great overwhelming things connected to the grief experience and turn them into manageable loving memories that can be called upon instead of depression and sadness. I came to realize the mindest adjustment that can take place with a few simple techniques that become life changing.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am super excited that this year we are stepping into a new arena for Bigger Fish To Fry Coaching which will be Corporate/Organizational Coaching. We will be offering virtual or in person classes on Grief Management, Hope while Enduring Covid, Becoming effortlessly Positive and many other uplifting life changing offerings.

I got where I am through sheer tenacity and self motivation. It was not easy, there have been many tears, lots of mistakes that make me go oh my goodness, what was I thinking??? I overcame the challenges simply by not giving up. I may have to take a breath, cry a little, then reset but I will soldier on to my goals.

I’ve learned to really and truly research anyone you deal with. It doesn’t matter how many followers, how pretty a website, how many testimonials. You have to make sure by checking the better business bureau, state records to see if they have a business license, local databases for any lawsuits, jail time and contact some of those people to make sure the person is legit.

Bigger Fish To Fry Coaching is absolutely and unapologetically here to change the face of Grieving. We are here to uplift, empower and help those in the grief space to a new exciting place, Grief Management. We are here to manage the triggers, the tragedy, the trauma of losing your loved ones to triumph, conquest, success and of course making life enjoyable again. Our amazing Grief Management program allows you to walk the journey of your life, handling the loss of your loved one with strength and love.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m definitely eclectic so I would suggest going to the Winspear Opera House near Downtown Dallas even if you have never listened to Opera this is a good time. There is always an old school concert, yoga or something new age at the Toyota Music Center in Irving.

Ebb and Flow for a great brunch. Gus’s World Famous Chicken is definitely finger lick en good all located in Deep Ellum. Lo Lo’s Chicken and Waffles is some great soul food and worth the wait (there’s always a line) in Southlake.

H-E-B is worth hitting just to see a grocery store unlike any other that takes you to East Texas Country in Waxahachie.
The Gallery Roof top lounge is always a good time. Everyone loves the YardBird and of course Whistlebritches is one of my favorite places to eat and drink.

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is a beautiful spot to visit. JFK Memorial if you want to take that walk down memory lane, The new lively Bishop Arts District. Reunion Tower where you can oversee the city and if you are up for excitement Six Flags (Arlington) is always ready and waiting.

Apothecary in Lower Greenville is great for drinks that are different and tasty. Korea Town in Carrollton has the best seafood. Lastly if you want to blow your socks off hit Hot Chicks Chicken in Plano my tears as I ate where real, lol. The Cookie Society is a big deal, Tiff’s Treats delivers them hot and for me Insomnia Cookies wins hands down.

Shopping the Outlets in Allen and the Outlets in Grand Prairie.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My business coach Life Coach Kesh of LCK Consulting Services. I can’t speak enough about her, I know that thanks to her my business is really starting to take flight! She is an amazing mentor, she cares for her clients and definitely wants success for us. She does her best to give you an easy working blueprint and she is realistic that it takes time to build a long lasting successful business. King Ashley Ann is amazing as well. I take a lot of her online courses for business and manifestation. My sister Cynthia Lane is integral in my success. She buys everything I put out. She shares it with others and she is just in general my biggest support. I want to thank my friend and super encourager Monisa Caldwell (she paid for me to get my business license)!! She is always behind the scenes saying that’s my friend!!!
