We had the good fortune of connecting with Diddy Roselyn and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Diddy, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
Whether You Think You Can, or Think You Can’t … You’re Right. Everything begins from our thought process. Our thought process will determine where we go. I love this quote because I have seen the power of choosing to good and powerful thoughts over defeating thoughts. Your mindsest determines your outcome. If you believe you can, you can. If you believe you can’t you can’t.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I currently work at Professional Home Health Care as the Team Lead What sets me apart from others is that I believe that there are no short cuts in life. It is good to stay focused and work hard. I believe that those who have made it in life worked hard and I have the same opportunity to achieve more. I am where I am today by the grace of God and patience. It took a lot of maturing and confidence to be where I am today. I have not made it yet and I will not settle. Prayer helped me overcome a lot of challenges and facing my insecurities. Gaining the knowledge I have and working with a team of very wise and knowledgeable women, only pushes me to want to grow daily. It is very important to surround yourself with wise and positive people. I learn a lot daily and this keeps me busy and away from things that do not matter to my growth. My brand I Did Fit For Me is very personal and has made a big impact in my life and others. I am very humbled that my brand and journey has pushed others to live healthier and achieve fitness goals. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit and as much as God wants us to prosper spiritually, He also wants us to prosper in our health. God wants us to be strong and healthy, so daily we have to choose that. We have to choose to eat healthier. I always tell my clients that not to aim to be perfect, because that is a recipe for disaster. However, we can make daily efforts and if we mess up, that is alright. Do better next time. I also remind my clients to never compare their lives with any one else. We all have different bodies and composition. Appreciate your body currently and when you achieve your goal. Lastly there are no shortcuts in fitness. We have to teach our bodies self control. Picking short cuts often end up backfiring. I am currently working on my you tube channel to be able to inspire people to workout and eat healthier. I have recorded a couple of short workout videos to do at home. It is important to remember that even 5 minutes of a workout is better than nothing. We often see others working out for 1 hour or so and often give up if we cannot make that time. I would encourage everyone to do something daily that will improve their health.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First we would begin our day with working out at LA Fitness Gym We would have dinner at Gloria’s Restaurant they have a few locations in South Lake, Colleyville and Arlington. I love their fajitas and quail entree on the menu. Another great place I would plan on for dinner would be the Reunion Tower which is a giant tower with a great design that revolves and dine at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant. We would also plan to visit the the Stockyards in Fort worth and check out the living museums And conclude with a visit to the Fort Worth Zoo, The Botanical Garden and the Dallas World Aquarium which are my favorite spots.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give credit to my husband and mother who daily encourage and love me. I would like to give a shout out to my coworker Jayne, friends Linda and Sheila who have been of great support when I chose to enroll to Grand Canyon University to get my Bachelors. I would also like to give a shout out to Reverend Phyllis for her constant support.
