We had the good fortune of connecting with Davier Godsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Davier, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk taking is a bold thing to do, but also a decision we choose to take. In my opinion nobody can really be sure if risks will pay off, no matter how calculated they may be. But this should not stop you from taking risks. If you want your business to succeed, risks are necessary. According to a quote by Frederick Wilcox, “Progress always involves risks. You can’t steal second base and keep your foot on first.” As a young Entrepreneur risks are necessary and have played a huge part in my career. The truth is, we are faced with possible risks in and out of our careers all throughout our lives. Some are obvious wins, while others may take a fiscally responsible leap of faith. What’s important is looking at the pros and cons of the risk you’re considering and understanding if it will ultimately get you ahead.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career as a Protective Natural Stylist is such an awesome role! Being a autodidact, sets me apart from my competitors along with improvement over the last two years when it comes to time management. In 2017, it would take me 7-8 hours to finish a complete install of styles i offer today, it takes me 2-4 Hours MAX. When I decided back in 2017 to take a leap of faith to do hair FT I made myself a business plan. Having a business plan is so important. Executing the plan and seeing it unfold has been a smooth transition for me because I had a plan. I have dealt with my trail and error and challenges also as a entrepreneur.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of course! I would first like to give a shoutout to my clients! You ladies are awesome and I appreciate each of you for being a loyal client of Stylesbydavi. You ladies have so many options in the DFW area, yet you choose me. I will forever hold you apart of this journey. I would also like to give a shoutout to my lord and savior Jesus Christ. Just to take a minute, not to ask for anything from you. But to simply to say Thank You, for all i have. Third, my family! Shoutout to you all! Forever thankful for the efforts and support my entire life, i love you all. This story is crawling its way to the top! Pages are to be tuned.
