Meet Cooper Merriman | Apt 75 Band

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cooper Merriman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cooper, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Well Me (Cooper) and Johnny were hanging out because of some mutual friends and we bonded over music. I asked him if he wanted to write some music some time and he said for sure. We just loved the everything about music and being an artist and creating things. We eventually started hanging out and writing enough we thought it’d be dumb to not call ourself a band. Everything after that just kind of fell into place!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What we want people to know is that all we are is 5 buddies who sesh and jam with each other. We don’t take ourself too seriously and get all dangum artsy fartsy. It doesn’t get more genuine than that. We love each other and we absolutely love creating with each other.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you’re pulling up to Fort Worth you gotta hit 7th and the stockyards. But you gott be ready to get wild and bring your boots because there might be fight. We’d probably hit fire station park and rip some sick grinds. Definitely grab some burgers from gustos and catch a local show at Tulips. And of course you gotta hit trinity park and blow some tree under those Fort Worth stars!
