Meet Chad Patterson

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chad Patterson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chad, what is the most important factor behind your success?
For me, success is when I make a positive impact and influence the growth of the leader, team, or anyone I’m loving, serving, leading, or coaching. My purpose statement in my life and leadership is to help people unleash their God given purpose and potential, increasing their impact and influence. It’s what motivates me every day.

What should our readers know about your business?
For the past 30 years I’ve been fortunate to have served as a Nonprofit Executive Leader for multiple charities, focused primarily on making life better for children and families. Along side this work, I’ve also been delivering leadership coaching, training, and speaking services to multi-faceted organizations since 1998 through my business “Chad Patterson Coaching”. It’s been an incredibly challenging and rewarding journey. The opportunity to walk the walk of leadership has only strengthened my understanding of real life leadership challenges, and has given me a more focused and passionate approach to the leaders and organizations I coach. Lessons learned through both failures and success has only given me the confidence and relevance needed to truly help leaders grow and transform their leadership and lives. The heart of my business mission is to help leaders develop and champion core values, develop themselves and those they lead, and to drive greater results in their life and leadership.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow, fun questions. Day 1: I’d pick them up from DFW airport, then head to one of the coolest collection of restaurants in Deep Ellum. Wrap up the evening with a Dallas Mavs game! Day 2: Head to Uptown for some good grub, then finish the day with a Texas Rangers game! Day 3: Head back to downtown Dallas and enjoy the eateries Downtown. Finish up the day at a Dallas Cowboys game! Day 4: Trek over to Fort Worth and enjoy tourning the Stockyards, eat at Cooper’s BBQ, and catch a TCU baseball game. Day 5: Enjoy a 2 hour drive east to Longview and Tyler, enjoying a hike in Tyler State Park, grabbing an early dinner at Country Tavern BBQ in Kilgore, and staying the night in Longview/Tyler. Day 6: Drive to Marshall and enjoy lunch at Wright’s Tacos, then drive to Jefferson and take a Ghost tour, hike through Caddo Lake Park, and grab dinner at one of the many eateries in Jefferson. Day 7: Enjoy a beautiful drive through Northeast Texas on Hwy 80, stopping along the way to enjoy the small Texas town shoppes in Gladewater and Mineola, ending back at DFW for their flight home. They’ll definitely want to come back!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I’m a follower of Christ and He is the anchor and focus of my life’s journey and work. My wife Liz and family have been in the balcony of my life cheering me on to realize the purpose and potential in my own life as I pour it out to serve and lead others. As a Certified Coach, Speaker, and Trainer with the John Maxwell Team, I’ve been following Dr. Johh Maxwell for over 30 years and his work has influenced my growth and work even to this very day. I’m blessed to have an inner circle of men in my life who bring accountability and encouragement, fulfilling the “iron sharpens iron” principle. In my book “Leadership HEART Unleashed”, I recognize multiple people who have been legacy leaders and examples in my life.
