We had the good fortune of connecting with Callie Caraballo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Callie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After being in a hospital or clinical settings for years, I was given an opportunity to help a midwife start her ultrasound department in my previous town. We decided we wanted to open up to the public to provide diagnostic ultrasounds and entertainment pregnancy scans. I saw how much more relaxed my patients were in a one-on-one setting that wasn’t such a scary, sterile environment. We got really busy with word-of-mouth referrals and I realized that this tailored care was what people really needed. They feel properly heard and cared for. Once I moved to Fort Worth, I knew this is what I needed to provide here. I am such a nurturer, and it is hard for me to work in a busy atmosphere doing twelve scans in a shift and not having the time to connect with the people I’m scanning. I bought my own machine over the summer, and started to look for a place for the business! It has really been such a whirlwind where everything has fallen into place, and now I can provide for my new community.

What should our readers know about your business?
The Ultrasound Concierge is a private ultrasound suite that provides almost any medical ultrasound that a provider orders, along with pregnancy scans- diagnostic and elective (including the fun 3D/4D ones). All of our medical ultrasounds are sent to a Board Certified Radiologist for an official report.
I would say there are several factors that sets this business apart from others.
– Depth and Breadth of Experience- Few in this field have such a comprehensive range of experience- from working in a nonprofit setting to high risk maternal fetal medicine, and even consulting on ultrasound technology development. This diversity allows a unique approach each patient’s need with a unique, well-rounded perspective.
-Holistic and Compassionate Care- The ability to merge technical expertise with genuine compassion. By providing a safe, private alternative to the hospital setting, there’s an atmosphere of trust and emotional support- especially for those navigating infertility, loss, or high- stress pregnancies.
-Personal Connection-My own personal experiences with infertility, pregnancy loss, and various birthing environments has given me a profound level of empathy. Patients feel seen and heard.
-Faith Driven Mission- Many healthcare providers focus solely on the medical side, but a faith-based approach transforms this business into a ministry, allowing care for the whole person- physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Finally, a community-centered vision. There’s focus on learning the local resources that will help our clients have what they need for a successful pregnancy and postpartum journey, and into motherhood. As a Placenta Encapsulation certified specialist, I strive to offer the best benefits possible to any mom after a new baby.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well since I am new-ish to the area, I haven’t had the chance to explore as much as I have wanted. I would definitely take them to eat breakfast at the Blue Mound Cafe in Saginaw- some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had! Then, we would walk around the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens- so gorgeous and relaxing. For dinner, I would definitely choose one of the many mexican food restaurants we have to offer! My favorite is in Roanoke- Los Compadres Cantina to enjoy their beef fajitas and blueberry margarita! To die for. I am really wanting to visit some vintage thrift shops, and the Ridgelea market.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to thank my amazing husband Joash for his support in allowing me to go after my dreams. With his encouragement, and his accounting/business background- he gave me the courage I needed to dive right in. It was so scary for me because we are in a new city and I do not know people here, but with his love, faith, and dedication to care for the children when I am tied up building the business, my dream became a reality.
