Meet Bryan Hungria | DJ & MC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryan Hungria and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bryan, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve been performing as a DJ since I was 15, and music has always been my heartbeat. Growing up in New York City, I looked up to legendary DJs like Alex Sensation, Funkmaster Flex, and DJ Camilo. They showed me how powerful music can be when it’s played with passion and skill.
I found a great deal of inspiration from my friends and family, who have built successful DJ businesses and established themselves in the club and private events scene. Over the years, I’ve watched them grow as individuals and expand their businesses, which has been very motivating. Seeing them turn their passion for music into real careers inspired me to pursue a similar path, but I wanted to put my own unique spin on it.
Over the last 25+ years, I’ve learned how to mix all kinds of music and figure out what the crowd wants. It was a big learning process, but I realized DJing is about way more than just playing songs; it’s about creating a brand and a business that focuses on unforgettable experiences.
Starting my own DJ business was all about bringing together everything I’ve picked up along the way, paying tribute to my influences, and building a place where professionalism, creativity, and energy are the top priorities. Whether I’m spinning at a wedding, private event, corporate party, or a big venue, my goal is simple: bring people together through music and keep the dance floor packed all night long.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My career has been an incredible journey, both in my professional life and as a DJ. With over 20 years of experience in digital marketing as an Account Manager, Director, and Manager, I have consistently focused on one core principle: delivering an exceptional customer experience. I view myself as an advocate for my clients, always listening and understanding their goals.
This dedication seamlessly translates into my role as a DJ. When I’m behind the decks, it’s not just about playing music; it’s about crafting unforgettable experiences. I combine my extensive background in client service with my passion for entertainment, ensuring that every couple, family, or guest I work with feels celebrated and genuinely cared for. For me, each event is more than just a night, it’s an opportunity to create lasting memories.
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Balancing a full-time career while growing as a DJ has involved many late nights, sacrifices, and occasional moments of doubt. However, I’ve learned that consistency, humility, and a commitment to ongoing learning are far more valuable than talent alone. Building relationships has proven to be the foundation of success, whether in business or music, it’s the connections that truly matter.
My brand is rooted in passion, community, and genuine connection. Music is my powerful medium for bringing people together, and when someone walks away from an event I’ve been part of feeling happier, more connected, and truly celebrated, I know I’ve achieved my goal.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First up, we’d definitely hit Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar. It’s nonstop fun, with tons of laughs, incredible music, and drinks flowing in a super creative and lively atmosphere. You can’t help but sing along and just enjoy yourself.
Then we’d swing by Pecan Lodge BBQ because you can’t visit without trying some classic Texas BBQ. The food is absolutely amazing, and it’s the perfect way to sit back and take in all the flavors the city has to offer.
After that, we’d need to catch a game or a concert since we’re lucky to have awesome sports teams and live shows happening all the time. Whether it’s the thrill of a packed stadium or the excitement of a big name artist on stage, it’s always a memorable experience.
From there, it’d be all about exploring finding those local spots, checking out hidden gems, and making sure the week is filled with music, food, and a great sense of community.
Overall, there’s so much to do in Dallas whether it’s Uptown or Downtown.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly, this is a two-fold answer for me. Over the years, so many individual DJs in both New York and Dallas have inspired me, challenged me, and shaped the way I approach music. Their energy and creativity have pushed me to grow, and I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without learning from them along the way.
I also want to give a special shoutout to LB Productions in New York and Alliance Entertainment Group. Both have played a huge role in my journey. They’ve set the standard for professionalism, culture, and passion in the DJ space, and being connected to that kind of excellence continues to motivate me. What stands out most, though, is that their influence goes beyond business — it’s about community, mentorship, and reminding me every day why I love what I do.
And finally, I have to say my wife and family. They’ve been my biggest supporters from the very beginning, standing behind me since I first hit the ground running. Their love, encouragement, and belief in me mean everything, and I couldn’t do any of this without them.
