We had the good fortune of connecting with Brian Hart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brian, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Travelling the World for three and a half years. It broadened my perspective regarding people, helped me set a large goal without knowing exactly how I would accomplish it, broke me out of the 9-5 mentality, and helped my personal growth tremendously. It fanned the flame of what it means to life live on my terms.

What should our readers know about your business?
I sell a hemp beverage that has vitamins and minerals in it. It uses hemp derived THC and CBD and uses ingredients like cane sugar and monkfruit so I use the best ingredients I can. The idea is that I want people to have a nonalcoholic alternative beverage when socializing and people can also get some nutrition from the B series vitamins and minerals calcium and magnesium.

What sets us apart is our approach to getting some nutrition while also feeling the mood elevating effects of hemp THC and CBD. I’m most proud of seeing people enjoy the beverage. To have an idea and see it come to fruition feels great!

I’m relatively early in Vitam’s journey. I launched sales in June of 2024 and I see the company growing. With that said I’ve been working towards creating my own business in the cannabis industry for years. I grew cannabis, sold it in dispensaries, consulted on it professionally, even wrote my masters thesis. So with all that said I think consistency is the big takeaway.

Running your own business is not easy but it’s important to remember it is a marathon not a sprint and don’t let things overwhelm you. To overcome challenges is simply a matter of time so I would say be patient and consistent and you will be impressed with what you can do in time.

I want the world to be aware of the vision I have for Vitam. I want Vitam to be a tool people can use to socialize and connect with one another. The United States has an epidemic of loneliness, it’s gotten to a point the US Surgeon General issued a report about it in the summer of 2023. I want more people to get out of their homes and spend time with each other and I want to offer something people can drink that is nonalcoholic and provides some nutrition. Cannabis is one way people can connect with one another and through my beverage it can help people relax and enjoy the moment with one another.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t know Dallas very well and work so much it is difficult for me to provide a good recommendation. Dallas is very much a place for shopping and eating out so I would recommend folks to go to the Bishop Arts District. It’s a trendy place with good restaurants and local businesses.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely! The Hemp Beverage Alliance is an organization I joined that brings people in the hemp beverage industry. They have been huge in connecting me with the right people, particularly the president Chris Lackner.

Vertosa is my emulsion company and Harold Han and Camron Clifton have been tremendous in doing studies to make sure I have the best compatibility with the hemp emulsion used to provide the uplifting effects Vitam provides.

Doug Fulton has been my coach in developing Vitam and he coaches hemp beverage startups. He saved me a lot of time, money, and frustration. He has been very supportive and is an industry leader.

Nomad does outstanding brand and package design and made an amazing can design for my company Vitam. It is a great group of folks that not only help with package design but also marketing. Trust Nomad!
