We had the good fortune of connecting with Breonna Gildon Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Breonna, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?

Seven simple words : ‘God, use me to help empower women.’

When I first started Empower Her Ministries, I was in a space where I finally felt confident to share my journey. My desire was to use the only two things that I believed could not only help me to connect with women, but to also impact women. Those two things are my voice and my words.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Empower Her Ministries is more than a business, we are also a ministry. We provide faith based resources to help women grow stronger. We host weekly bible studies, share spiritual encouragement through our weekly blog, host giveaways for our Empower Her Tribe, and we have recently opened an online shop with more to come soon! The one thing I am most proud of with Empower Her Ministries is our ability to consistently be impactful. When the pandemic occurred, it pumped the brakes on a lot of things we had planned for our ministry. We had recently hosted our Empower Her Meetup event and we had so many cool things for our Empower Her Tribe. The pandemic gave us the opportunity to sit back and think about what our tribe really needed. Soon after, we begin hosting online bible studies. We started the pandemic with about 100 women subscribed to our email list. Since hosting our weekly bible studies, we have grown to nearly 800 women and men where we help to impact their lives weekly. We are grateful.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
OoOoOo DFW has many amazing places to visit. I recently moved here within the last year and here are my favorite secret gems : EVO in Southlake, Del Frisco’s, Whistle Britches, Pressed Roots (Ask for Neff ) First Watch, and Sixty Vines.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow! There are so many people I would love to shoutout, but I will try to keep it simple. First, I would like to honor God, the Lord God because without Him, I am nothing. I am who I am because of Him. Finally, I would like to honor my family, my friends, my Beloved Sisters, Empower Her Team, and the Empower Her Tribe. I am only here on behalf of Empower Her today because of their consistent love, prayers, and support.
