We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Rose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think about risk the same as I think about opportunity. The larger the risk, the increased opportunity to learn and grow, which is ultimately moving in the right direction. I find many people don’t take risks because of the fear of failure, but in failure is where the opportunity to learn and get better come from. I love the quote by Thomas Watson “If you want to increase your success rate, double your failure rate.” Everyone is at different points in their life, and on different paths to who they want to be. Because of that, everyone assesses risk differently. Since I am still in my mid-twenties, I have a lot more to gain than I have to loose. My goals and aspirations are intimidatingly high, and I value learning and adventure significantly more than comfort and consistency right now. Because of that, the risks I have taken have allowed myself to meet all kinds of people, opening my network, and gain extensive financial, spiritual, physical and social literacy that no one can get from a classroom. Risk can be scary and intimating, but I look at it quite optimistically and with a smile. Risk and opportunity is what gives life its excitement, and allowed us to grow and change. For someone who likes to continuously progress and move forward in life, risk is essential and I invite it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
RoseGold Apparel is a luxury men’s line specifically in rose gold that I created in the summer of 2016. Originally starting with the love of photography and the color rose gold, I first created shoes and belts to match luxury men’s rose gold watches. I absolutely fell in love with the design/ creation aspect, as well as working for myself. The autonomy and freedom to be innovative is what was so addicting and has allowed me to work endless hours. Since creation, I have been seen in GQ, ELLE, and Harper’s Bazaar magazines, as well as featured in Nordstrom Galleria for Christmas season opening in 2018, and achieved sales in over seven countries. This past year has been more difficult for RoseGold as we conducted a round of funding, and are in the process of obtaining new manufacturers and distribution model for our restructure and new line coming this Fall. We have been overcoming this new challenges by continuing to move forward one step at a time, as well as eliminating unnecessary costs and increasing team communication. An important lesson I have learned over the past year is the importance of short term goals, and communication. I don’t like to micromanage, but have found that everyone is different and sometimes it is necessary. I’ve also learned that although optimism is great, execution and proper preparation is what gets the job done and allows growth. I want the world to know that although RoseGold has slowed down slightly over the past 12 months, we are on track to solidify a quality manufacture offering premium products with an increased distribution chain. We will deliver luxury products at an affordable price to the everyday modern man. There will also be new collections and a new line added to RoseGold before the Fall 2020!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout my immediate family. They have always been there to love and support me, and I am so incredibly grateful for them. Another special person I would love to shoutout and thank tremendously, is my incredible girlfriend. This past year has been tough with business and have been running into new roadblocks that I have never faced before. It has been stressful at time, and she has consistently supported me as well as sat down and talked strategy, reason, and ways to execute. That type of partner is priceless and has allowed us to grow even more together. I am incredibly thankful for her love and input, and it only drives my passion for success and being the best I can be.
