We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Longoria and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
The most important thing I have done as a parent for my kid is to make sure he believes in himself. I frequently use the phrase, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” This instills the values that attitude determines success. He may only be 4, but I’ve already seen this in action. Every day, he makes sure to believe that he WILL get it done, which leads to his success. His determination to believe in himself has truly given me the most amount of pride a parent can have for their child.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Up until recently, I’ve solely been a wedding and event florist. Currently, however I have opened a boutique style storefront that embraces my community. This has been very exciting for me as I wanted to create a big-citer environment for my small town. It hasn’t been easy, and going all in on this project has been a huge risk. Even so, I’ve used every opportunity to face challenges head on and learned to adapt to every situation. Every challenge or set back has been an opportunity for me to grow and learn to be a better business owner, boss and artist. Especially being a single mom and sole owner of my business, I’ve had to face more challenges than ever before. However, I have used these experiences to inspire anyone to follow their dreams, even single moms, like me. I believe that anything is possible, and I use this in my day to day life creating beautiful art that anyone can enjoy.
