We had the good fortune of connecting with Arnold Ossei and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arnold, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After 27 years of working in the menswear industry. My goal was to create a brand, that represents modern elegance for the distinguished gentleman. A brand that sets the benchmark of style and sophistication. The desirability for Art & Design. Those intricate details that may only be available in custom production, but able to attain in ready to wear suiting, hence the affordable pricing and garment at your immediate disposal. The masculine appeal with bold expressive lapels, the distinctive pucker on shoulder sleeve head that displays elegance in a relaxed manner, the high armholes that is meant to allow a free range of motion, to the Gurkha style and side adjusters on trousers. Giving the client the appeal to be one of a kind.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I spent 27 years working in menswear. Due to the great passion I had for men’s tailored clothing, I spent years perfecting my craft through great research in obtaining the absolute finest in gentleman’s wear and executing an exceptional customer experience in fulfilling his daily wear lifestyle. It is a celebration of elegance, style and sophistication.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My absolute favorite to entertain will be Del Friscos steak house and a stroll uptown Dallas
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The absolute first will be my wife Osa Ossei, who encouraged me to Pursue this dream of mine by observing my talents over the years. Secondly my youngest son Christian Alexander Ossei, who at 11 years of age reminded me to begin wearing tailored clothing that yields my own name rather than others. It was an honor to create the brand CHRISTIAN ALEXANDER INC in his name. Lastly my uncle Mallas Osafo who introduce me to the upper echelon of men’s luxury tailored clothing when he owned the iconic Mallasadi men’s boutique in the Dallas metroplex.
