We had the good fortune of connecting with Anniella May and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anniella, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want people to remember how I made them feel, and I hope I have made them feel seen.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I started my career working in trauma and recently transitioned to behavioral sleep. I’ve learned along the way that I tend to be more solution-focused in my approach. What is your goal and how can I help you get there? The road here was not easy. I was very lucky to be around some very amazing people and therapists. As well as my amazing husband and family. We helped each other through. I’ve learned that the world is much bigger than we are truly taught. There are people, places and things with stories worth hearing if we just stop, pause and listen. This is a big lesson for me at home as my husband and I are working hard to raise good humans. We like to share our journey in doing so on social media.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love trying new places so I would definitely take my friend to any new restaurants in down town Dallas for a fun time. I live a little north of Dallas, so we like to hang out around Legacy West and Grandscape at The Colony. I love walking around and trying out different spots, with a little shopping!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband and my three beautiful daughters. My parents, and my fellow therapist friends and colleagues.
