We had the good fortune of connecting with Angela Whitman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angela, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Fighting for what I believe in matters not to me but to the world cause nobody is talking about what is hurting us in the community we live, I plan to take my fight to the White House to be recognized on a level like they do for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started a campaign in 2021 called #Diabetes Squad Up!! Where my life had to change instantly with nobody there to really help me understand what this disease is about I found myself depressed ,crying  and did not want to live because I had no understanding on how to win my life with diabetes I never been sick in my life and to get this at the age of 50 was heart breaking so I had to fine away to deal with my anger so I started to research about this disease that made me cry and made me feel like I was not going to survive it I am a type one diabetic most people are type two . I have too take shots to stay a live there is not enough research and study done on type one diabetics so I kept reading and asking questions until one day I went live and started telling people what this disease is on my facebook page it was blowing up  people  started asking questions and saying Ms.Angie we want to know more so I found myself giving more information from every doctor visit I had in the year 2021 I lost my hair so again I went to facebook and took off my wig so people could understand how bad diabetes is people from all around the world where inboxing me I cried until I could no longer speak and it was so much love giving to me that night just to see people say don’t give up we are with you people loved me so at this point I went to the American Diabetes Association where Alexa and I became friends and the next thing i knew I had the support from the American Diabetes Association I was now the face of something that I was fighting so hard for which was to educate to teach to keep giving information to my listeners and anybody that would listen #Diabetes is not my friend.
