We had the good fortune of connecting with Angel Butler DIamant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Angel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting Red Thread Divorce Consulting is very simple- I am a firm believer in the “it takes a village mentality”-I feel that as individuals it is our responsibility to pass on what we learn to others. I believe that if we can make an experience easier for someone by passing on knowledge that we have gained then it is our responsibility to do so. Family court is a very difficult arena to navigate. My goal is to walk alongside my clients and be the person that I wish had walking next to me while going through this very challenging journey.
Misery to message!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One of the things that I am most proud of concerning Red Thread is that is was born out of a need and a nitch that I felt was lacking while going through a very difficult time. I knew that when I entered the arena of Family Court that I was going to create a venue that would allow me to help and navigate others subjected to this system. My goal was to also create a pathway to change laws and create awareness. I am very proud of Red Thread as it has allowed me to achieve both of these goals! Certified in all fifty states and a member of the National Safe Parents Coalition, my focus is child custody issues, court preparation, combating false parental alienation claims, documentation, team building, mediation and negotiations, co-parenting with a high-conflict personality, communication and child custody evaluations.

In addition to helping my clients work through their own high conflict divorce challenges whether post-, during or pre-, my goal is to develop a strategy within a self-care mindset that limits the collateral damage, time and wasted finances that result in a battle such as this.

The American Bar Association defines divorce consulting as, “a flexible, goal-oriented process designed to support, motivate, and guide people going through divorce to help them make the best possible decisions for their future, based on their particular interests, needs and concerns.”

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My shoutout goes to Tina Swithin. President and owner of One Moms Battle- Tina is responsible for creating the very reputable and recognized Divorce Consulting/coach program offered through One Moms Battle.
Her curriculum and coursework is outstanding. Tina is also responsible for One Moms groups, pages etc.- All of these have been a great source of knowledge, support and resources for not only myself but others.
