We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Messer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amy, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
People often think being a realtor is just about showing homes, but it’s so much more. Having a license doesn’t make you an expert overnight. My experience and relationships in the industry play a huge role in navigating everything from complex negotiations to last-minute issues to intricate neighborhood data. It’s definitely more than saying, ‘Here’s the kitchen.’
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career has been more of a slow and steady journey rather than an overnight success, and I’m proud of that. I’ve always focused on building real relationships, taking the time to understand people’s needs, and doing the right thing, even when it wasn’t the easiest path. I’ve learned that patience, consistency, and staying true to your values pays off in the long run. What sets me apart is that I prioritize people over transactions, and I believe that’s what has gotten me to where I am today. If there’s one thing I’d want people to know, it’s that success isn’t just about numbers; it’s about trust, integrity, and the long-term relationships you build.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d have to give a lot of credit to the people around me. My fiancée has been an incredible support, keeping me focused and balanced. I’m thankful she’s so understanding of my crazy schedule. I’m also fortunate to be surrounded by my circle of intelligent friends who challenge and inspire me with their perspectives. Their influence has definitely shaped my growth and pushed me to keep aiming higher. Success is rarely a solo effort, and I’m grateful for their impact.
