Meet Alexis Newman | Digital Artist and Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexis Newman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexis, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor is ensuring that I make the experience for each of my customers amazing. I take pride in creating very special customized pieces for each of them. I also make sure to listen to what they actually want so that I can make sure that they love the piece that I create for them. Many of my customers get pieces made of loved ones who have passed on, so it is extremely important to bring those images to life in the best way possible, creating a keepsake they can have forever.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a digital creator and I create digital art pieces for my customers. My main focus though, is morphing together separate images to make them look naturally as one piece. Most of my customers want pictures with loved ones who have passed on. I create new memories of them that they weren’t actually able to create themselves, and then I put them on canvas or glossy versions in a frame. I can also take single pictures and recreate them as well. The best part about it all is the feeling of creating something that each customer is in love with and it touches their heart. Making them pieces as though their loved ones or the people they want together in a picture actually took those pictures together. It was not easy starting this business, but it surely was worth it. Aside from other companies who do this, I have a very fast turnaround time, and it is VERY AFFORDABLE. I like for everyone to be able to afford this experience and my work. It is not all about the money for me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I do not really get out much, I’m kind of a homebody lol. But I would definitely say Las Colinas is an amazing place to enjoy scenery, good food and fun. I would definitely recommend Grandscape in the colony as well. There is good food and entertainment and they always have different events going on to enjoy as adults or for families as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Great Grandmother passed away earlier this year, and my dad was extremely hurt by it because it was his last living grandparent. He did not have any pictures with her, so I decided I would create one. When I seen his reaction to it, I felt something in my heart that was just amazing and I knew I wanted to make others feel how he had felt. My great grandmother and my dad was a big part of why I started this business.
