We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandria Warfield and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexandria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
At the beginning of the pandemic, I was laid off from my job, All I could think about was, how am I going to provide for my family. A good friend of mine randomly asked if I had ever thought about owning a vending machine. So I began doing some research. I watched countless vending videos on Youtube. I joined different Vending Facebook groups. I googled “how to start a vending machine business” and read a number of articles. I finally got to a point where I felt comfortable enough to just jump. I’m so glad I did. Owning a vending machine business has been such an amazing journey. I found a way to start a business for less than $5,000 and the best part is I don’t have to be there every single day to make money. I’m looking forward to scaling my business and one day leave it to my children.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Fine Arts. I’m extremely proud to say I have been putting that degree to use ever since. I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of several projects and plays out here in Dallas. “Frienemies”, “I Deserve Your Wife”, 2017 Soul Rep Play Festival, “What’s Yours Is Mine”, “No + 1: Web Series” and many more, Being a part of so many plays and films taught me a lot. It truly fueled my desire to work behind the camera more and learn that aspect of the entertainment industry, I recently produced a web series titled Lovers Revenge. You can watch the full series on my YouTube Channel.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of my favorite restaurants in the city are Aunt Irene’s Seafood, Eddie V’s, and Ebb & Flow. I really enjoy competitive games and always have the best time at Topgolf with my friends. Indoor Kart racing is another fun time with friends. You can never go wrong with a trip to the spa for massages and facials.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my fiance. He truly pushed me to start my business and has been so supportive during my journey.
