Hi Afreen Visions, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Because we are a partnership, it’s absolutely imperative that we prioritize clear and effective communication with each other. We try to have daily check-ins with one another to learn what all needs to be completed for the day, what we have coming up in the coming weeks, and how we’re feeling about our progress so far. This helps us ensure that we’re on the same page, aligned in our goals, and ready to serve our clients to the best of our ability!

One thing we are constantly reminding ourselves of is the importance of being positive, open-minded, and adaptable. With any endeavor, success isn’t guaranteed; you have to work for it and you have to invest in yourself in order to fulfill your vision. For us, that means being open and receptive to client feedback, celebrating our wins, and learning from our mistakes. We hope that in doing so we not only succeed but also learn and grow over time!

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
We truly believe that if there is one thing that sets us apart from others, it is our strong commitment to customer service. From the very first inquiry to the collection delivery, we aim to create lasting memories for our clients, and at the core of this is a positive customer experience. We treat each part of the process equally significant as the client’s session; we even make it a point to have video consultations with our clients to learn more about them, to discuss their vision, and to iron out day-of details. We understand that even as creatives, we can draw from principles of business to ensure that our clients receive clear and timely communication, a smooth booking process, and a fun-filled session that yields beautifully captured memories.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Even after living in Dallas our whole lives, we still feel like there is so much to explore here! From classic Dallas spots like the Reunion Tower to hidden gems on local college campuses, you could never run out of things to do here! Our favorite day would start with brunch at Frisco’s Barney’s Brunch House, followed by a stroll through the lusciously beautiful Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, a photoshoot at the small-but-worth-it Flippen Park, and dinner along the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Frankly, if it weren’t for the love and support of our family and closest friends, Afreen Visions may not have even seen the light of day! We were so caught up in pursuing the traditional path of high school to college to career that our passion for photography took a backseat. It wasn’t until we both hit snags in our professional lives that our family and friends encouraged us to take a pause and use this time to pursue what we’ve loved all along. Our family and friends are at the backbone of all that we do; they are a constant pillar of support for us, and we sincerely appreciate how much faith they have in us and in Afreen Visions!
