We had the good fortune of connecting with Adieu Anais and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adieu, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
When it comes to deciding to have a creative career, it was an easy decision because it has always been my passion since I was a young child. However, it was not easy to make the jump. Although I’ve been singing since I was two years old, written music for almost two decades, and studied music in university, after graduating college I was lost. Having a music career has always been my dream, but the need to make money and have my bills paid took priority. It wasn’t until leaving my job in 2022 after a near death health scare that I finally made the jump out of corporate America and into my dream career. I realized that I did not want to die before doing what I loved and I wasn’t going to continue being forced into a mold I do not belong in.

Please tell us more about your art. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally? Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets me apart from others is that my artistic expression through music, song writing, and singing, can only be done by me in the way that I do it. I’m proud of myself for stepping into my dream career, putting myself out there, and allowing myself to be authentic and create what I’ve always wanted to. I’m very excited about a conceptual album I’ve been writing, especially because it’s very different from what I have written in the past. I’m also working on a music video to my single “Rain” which has been something I have been wanting to do for over a year.

It has not been easy to get to where I am now. I’ve had to endure suffering to get on the path I’m currently on. Although I maintained my creativity between graduating university, corporate life, and starting my career as a music artist, I struggled a lot with imposter syndrome. I didn’t think I would be enough and I didn’t believe in myself. It wasn’t until I started doing shows and performing again that I remembered who I was. Being on stage has always felt like home, so now I use the stage to say what I really want to say through my music.

I want the world to know that even though our society expects me to be a byproduct of what seems to be an acceptable way to live, I refuse. I nearly lost my life being forced to suppress my authentic voice and I will never allow that to happen again. I will always remain true to myself no matter the circumstances, and I hope others have the courage to do the same. My story is one of resilience and overcoming. There’s still so much more left to create.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
One of my biggest motivations to explore is good food, so my bestie and I would be eating out alot! As far as food goes, my favorite spots are Nunos Tacos and Vegmex Grill, TLC Vegan, Kalahandji’s, and Vegan Food House. I would definitely take my bestie to visit the Dallas Museum of Art, Perot Museum, Meow Wolf, Deep Ellum, The Arboretum, White Rock Lake, and Bishop Arts District for the full Dallas Experience. If my bestie is up for a night out, then we may check out a show at It’ll Do or Stereo Live.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wish it were that easy to come up with just one shout out! I’ve been so fortunate to have had many people in my life that have contributed to my career. But, if I were to boil it down to my recent successes, I would have to give a shout out to my husband. He is the reason I am able to put music first and has done everything he possibly can to help me see my dreams into fruition.
