We had the good fortune of connecting with Richele Casazza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Richele, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
In regards to streaming, content creation and Twitch in general; It is much more labor intensive and time consuming than you’d think from an outside perspective. It can be overwhelming at times and in a lot of cases until you get to an undetermined point, your a one man show. You do the content creation, editing, marketing, networking, all while usually balancing a life outside of it to help support it.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The thing that sets me apart is that I genuinely love video games and even if this weren’t a career path I’d still do it. I grew up playing them from a very young age and have always been a part of my identity. The thing I’m proud of the most is the fact that I haven’t quit. It can be discouraging and a very steep grind to start. Trying to stream and cultivate an audience can be a little awkward if you don’t have the audience but you just need to understand that you have to put in the time. My biggest challenge has been equipment related. Trying to stream off a PlayStation is extremely limiting and handicapping but at the same time a dedicated PC setup with all the bells and whistles can be thousands of dollars. Getting my setup complete would be a huge achievement and checkpoint on my journey. My brand has always been centered around Godzilla and that universe. My brother and I loved the movies growing up and the games and are super fans of the franchise. It is the root of a lot of fond memories I have and so I dedicated part of my Identity to it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m fairly new to the area I’m in so my time would be an adventure for both of us. We would probably check out the Stockyards in DFW, relax at Lake Granbury and maybe check out a “cars and coffee”02. Beyond that, It would be a first time for both us where ever we went most likely.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Being still in a stage of infancy on the platform I haven’t had the chance to make a ton of connections but a couple still stand out and I’m happy to have known them personally as well. Callum (@BritishBrat) and Garett (@Schweezii). They have been both exemplary peers and role models. Callum shows expertise in managing his community and others like an expert and shows that his level of streaming is far beyond what his viewer count reflects, but someday will. Garett really helped me in overcoming the sense of stage fright and being able to just be me.
