We had the good fortune of connecting with L.jae Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi L.jae, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Intimate Connections helps the community by providing that energetic healing that is necessary for everyone to connect to their highest selves, their true selves, and show up in the world as such. It is so important that we feed our souls so that we can be a helping hand in feeding others’ souls. I created Intimate Connections to do just that. We are in a time where everything seems unsure. The one thing everyone should be certain about is the bond and connection they have with themselves. Reiki or energetic healing via touch can be an assistant on that path. When Reiki healing is utilized it helps to mend the parts of the soul and auric field that have been damaged by living life. Everyone has experienced some sort of trauma or pain at one point or another. When we don’t deal with that pain and trauma it gets trapped and stored in different parts of the body and the energy centers known as chakras. Through the healing power of an energetic touch, we can break up that energy so that it may be released from the body and allow everything to align and start to work as the team should. The team is the mind, body, soul team. When one thing is off, another is too. Think of it as rungs on a ladder, when bars are missing it makes it hard to climb the ladder to our highest self. Intimate Connections is here to help you climb that ladder and put the rungs back in place. We not only do that through reiki but also with information and education on how energy works through workshops and live discussions, intimate gatherings, and retreats.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am a certified reiki practitioner and I created my business, Intimate Connections, not only to provide healing via energetic touch but to build a community. Intimate Connections has three pillars. The first pillar is to cultivate the connection to self and that is facilitated through energetic touch therapy known as Reiki, one on one & group-guided meditations, and sound baths. The second pillar is to cultivate the connection to the micro collective, facilitated through intimate gatherings where like-minded people can come together and commune. The third pillar is to cultivate the connection to the macro collective facilitated through workshops, live stream discussions, and retreats. I am most excited about the community that I am building through Intimate Connections. Up to this point, it’s been great, but Intimate Connections has so much farther to go. It’s been faith, trusting my higher self, and following my intuition to bring my business to this point. And that has been the biggest lesson learned, is to trust and know that I am being guided by something bigger than me to serve my highest and greatest good to help me serve the highest and greatest good of the collective.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many great and exciting places to go in Dallas! I would defiantly take a friend to a concert at American Airlines Center or the Bomb Factory. I love live music so I would have to take my friend to Daq’s Luxury Daquiri Lounge for their R&B Brunches. We would take a day to explore Deep Ellum, bar hop and check out the many restaurants and just enjoy the day. Hanging out at Grand Scape in the Colony. Go shopping at NorthPark mall have a night a Vinettis of Addison. For a chill day, we would go hiking at Cedar Ridge in the morning, get some relaxing massages at Healing Body Massage & Cryo Spa and end the night at Astoria Caffe & Wine Bar. I would love to catch an event at the Business Lounge of Dallas, catch an art show at 4 The Culture Studio.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to everyone who trusted me to assist them on their healing path. Peace and forever blessings.
