We had the good fortune of connecting with Rasheda Bell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rasheda, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
My work life balance has changed drastically. Between working full.time and running a business full.time it can be very challenging at times but I am grateful to be doing the two things I love.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I went to the University of North Texas and got my B.S. in Biology and Chemistry. Then, I got my Master’s of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Currently, I am an Epidemiologist and Public Health specialist. My journey was not easy, I have tackled so many obstacles but I maintained a positive mindset, prayed, and pushed through it all. I’ve learned to not let things get me down because there is always light at the end of the tunnel no matter what situation you are in.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I give the biggest thanks to my mother, she is my biggest supporter and is always by my side no matter what.
