Meet Katie Newborn: CEO/Founder KN Ministries and Coach/Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Newborn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Katie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was to impact and influence the next generation of young girls who desired to have a big splash in the world. And, everyone who’s ready to make a pivot in their lives. I want to challenge their minds to think and take action beyond all fears and limitations. I want them to know and understand no matter where they started in life no visible or invisible barriers can prevent their future dreams from being realized. I want to encourage and motivate them until they harness the realization of the value contained within them. In hopes, that each one will excavate their lives to find their hidden treasure and maximize everything found in that discovery.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My vision for business is all birthed from one source; my desire to serve and help change the lives of others. So my first endeavor to do business of course was to start a non-profit organization. I soon learned that even your non-profit needs to be profitable. In order to achieve any level of success in impacting and influencing the lives of others, you need resources. The resources needed could be in the form of people, buildings, equipment, and money. Although my heart overflows with the love to help and serve, I had to create an opportunity to allow others to partner and join the mission of impacting the lives of the underserved. Barnett Inspirations my merchandise store is the for profit entity which affords others the opportunity to support community efforts. Even at its core Barnett Inspirations speaks to the power of encouragement. I want the world to know that all of who I am is given in my efforts to change the life of someone.

So through my nonprofit KN Ministries, I offer training and coaching. For an Organization, I’m able to host intimate workshops and summits tailored specifically to your employees to help them discover their value and how it can be tied in to your company goals and core values. For an event, I make sure attendees walk out knowing their most valuable assets and their next best steps. Finally for an Individual I offer a high level concentrated excavation discovery for hidden assets that brings a high yield on self value awareness. (ROI – return on investment)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Zunoriane Holmes, Chief Strategy Officer MegaCare was instrumental through his mentorship, encouragement and support in guiding me into my destiny. He challenged me beyond my fears and never accepted doubt of myself as an excuse to not move forward in the challenge. I would have said his mentorship was tough but in hindsight it was actually setting a standard for excellence. His methodology of guidance, support, and encouragement has been incorporated into the framework of my Mentorship program.
