We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that my business career has taught me is to have courage, stay consistent, be unique, and connect with my customers on a different level. I serve as an outlet for the plus size community and my motto is always love the skin you are in. I want women no matter there body type, size, or shape to feel comfortable in what they wear and be stylish while doing so.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Ok, here we go! Since i was a little girl I have always had a passion for fashion and my style has always been unique. When i go out into the world no matter where it is, to the gas station, grocery store, mall, anywhere its a fashion show and i always turn heads and get compliments. For years i wanted to open my boutique but you know what i did i let FEAR get in my way, yep fear. Until i stepped out on faith and said Brittney you got this and you have such a creative mind. Get to it. I pondered for days wondering what would i name my boutique that would express who i am. Then it dawned on me my style is UNIQUE! B UNIQUE URBAN BOUTIQUE! I fell in love instantly. I’m a plus size woman and I like to style and profile! Opening my business has definitely been a challenge and so rewarding at the same time. I have learned so much throughout this journey, one thing i will say is it TAKES MONEY TO MAKE MONEY!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents are my back bone. They support me in so many ways. I’m a single mom, own a boutique, and also work for an investment firm. I know right, busy life. Every journey i have set forth to follow they have always supported me, from knowledge, finance, career, baby sitter, advice, and the list goes on. There would be no me if it wasn’t for them. I always give them there flowers while here on earth.
