We had the good fortune of connecting with Xandria Caesar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Xandria, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
One habit I believe has help me succeed so far has been never being satisfied. I’m always looking for a different way to do something , easier way, faster way anything other than the way I’m currently doing it. Because of this I find that I actually discover new things. When I go into finding a different way To complete my goal. I don’t always know what the correct path looks like, but through trial and error I find success.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
In my artistry journey I feel I’m just beginning. Music to me is more than just releasing a song it’s about me finding myself. Through making songs I gain confidence And reach new heights I always wanted to. One of my biggest challenges in life was confidence when I was younger I had a deathly fear stage fright. i’d audition for talent shows make the talent show and then freak out behind the curtain. I had thoughts in my mind that told me I wasn’t good enough and no one really wanted to hear what I had to say. Now that I’m older and making my own music that stems from my thoughts and feelings. It’s freeing. It’s a beautiful feeling having people listen to, care about, and Anticipate the art I create.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So my favorite places in the city definitely consist of vegan food trucks. I love vegan time machine if you guys have ever wanted to try some good vegan food I definitely recommend. After grabbing some food then there’s live music, so wherever there is a show trees, house of blues, green elephant. Definitely catching someone’s show !
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely would like to shout out my mother, I’m basically a younger version of her. She’s poured so much into me from her class, to style, to worldly knowledge. I wouldn’t be the person who I am today if it wasn’t for her.
