We had the good fortune of connecting with Leah West and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leah, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Specializing in Marketing for Small, Individual owners. Assisting them in making the right decision to grown their business building from a strong solid foundation. Marketing their services digitally, as well as streamline their brand/services local and globally. Creating different marketing strategies where I see best fit! Engaging with their clients wants and needs. Reaching out to the community to see what the high demand is and fulfill the quality of services.

What should our readers know about your business?
I started early 2012 when I realized it would take passive income in order to survive in my single parent household. I just bought my 1st house and raising a son in this world I definitely had to figure out a way in order to survive because one income was not sufficient. Learning how to balance out the needs and wants I definitely had to make a change better for my future to come. Later on I met my business partner through a mutual friend. We immediately learned each other strengths and began to build from there. Networking was definitely the key to my success. There was time when I didn’t feel like getting out of the house due to a long day on my full time job and also maintaining motherly duties. I had to motivate myself and think okay if I step out this evening or tonight I must network or gain s client in need of tax issues or filing taxes and from that I learned this strategy was working for me to step out more often so I could gain potential tax clients. Absolutely not a walk in park! Everyone has their obstacles and or challenges when your driven on career goals in some form or fashion. The first day of tax season my truck stop running, but I was determined not to strip my hustle. I may not had transportation but I had a cell phone and mindset, so with those tools I used it to my perfection. That was the year I advertised/marketed the company in the DFW metroplex. I even read up on people facing big Tax evasion in order to gain their business in their need of service. Every person number I had stored in my cell phone down to every social media follower was aware of the Tax Business etc. The name of the business is Tax Time And Finanicial Services. We have been providing individual and Bussiness tax preparation, tax audits, tax amendments, business consultation and planning accounting, account auditing, book keeping and financial advising. We have now grown to service investments, life insurance and retirement in three locations in Dallas Fort Worth area. Our clients love us because we go over and beyond for them to make sure their needs are met and customer satisfaction. Proud moment is we have a very high review ratings and are with BBB.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A week long trip I would invite my friend to a spring The Grandscape Shops across the highway from me. They have everything you can think of fro eating ice cream, movie theater and restaurants including shopping stores. Across the way is a stage area foe out door dun/music concerts outing we would enjoy while strolling the area. Fun and friendly crowd filled with all diversity and plenty drinks to try! We would shoo away and live in the moment at ease. Only good vibes allowed!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The one book I recommend is “Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter” by Curtis James Jackson aka 50 cent. In addition to pod cast ( I Am ATHLETE) with Brandon Marshall, Chad Johnson, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder! Everyone has a story to tell and I read for testimonies and how they over came them! I guess that’s what fuels me.
