We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique McCartha and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think risk taking for me is being able to trust someone. And for that matter I have struggled to trust people due to disappointments. But what I found is you have to learn to trust to take risk just to know if it’s gonna work for you. So now I just count my losses and hope to gain many wins in life. I think overall you have to be positive and set the tone to allow great things to Transpire.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I was born and raised in Detroit, Mi . I started off doing hair when I was 13. It has always been a passion for me. At first it was just a side thing, Because you know when you’re young you don’t really think straight out about having a career and everything like that so I went through a few career changes until I finally realize what I really wanted to do. Afterwards I ended up going to school finishing and getting my license as a cosmetologist. Since then I’ve took so many training classes in this career so many experience in this field and how you can do so many things and think outside of the box. It allows me to reach my higher creativity as I’ve always wanted to do. Growing Where I was from was not easy for me. I unfortunately was unfortunate to live a fairytale life growing up. So I had to work really hard to get to where I am now. It was really hard because that change also required me to leave my hometown where my family lived. Hardest decision I ever had to make . Leaving where you been your whole life to leave to another State where you don’t know anyone but your boyfriend family. It’s hard and it was a huge step. But I knew I had to do it if I wanted greatness for myself. So I did it and it was the best decision ever!! Me moving to the Dallas Forth Worth area couldn’t have been a better plan. I have learned that if you want success you have to go after it and I also learned that sometimes your new life is sometimes waiting for you somewhere outside of what your use to. Overall I want people to not just know my Brand as just the Source of beauty I want them to also know that the Source Of Beauty is like home. And when go home it’s a place of comfort and peace, a place and brand that ladies can come and get everything you need and never have to worry about anything. And when clients sit in my chair they can trust I will use my knowledge to create exactly what they are looking for and envisioning when they sit down in my chair!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite all time spot is the Omni Hotel I love staying there every time I go downtown. And the best place to eat would be Bobs steakhouse , you can always count to get great food there and good service. Just the overall view downtown with the light and architecture and buildings are amazing. Such a beautiful sight to see.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I think most of all I wanna thank my family, I wanna thank my children and boyfriend for understanding the long days that I have had when I was unable to come home and cook and clean. Lol . I wanna that my boyfriend for picking up my slack when I couldn’t. My clients who have now became my friends! Francesca Hoskins who is now my friend and Team marketer in my business and for her getting me in this gig! I love her for this and so appreciative. And I wanna thank my mom for alway being there for me.
