We had the good fortune of connecting with Britt Hamilton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Britt, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Yes, of course the affirmation I lived by  “No one is above me nor beneath me”. This means that even though I may see my work as average its still very powerful. It keeps me humble to let me know I’m doing this because I love it and not for the fame. My work has and will/continue to touch a lot of people. To me that’s all that matters.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
For starters I’m not only a painter but a photographer as well. Recently, I realize i’m an a Fine Art Artist. my work slowly but surely getting known all over the DFW area and even country wide so that’s very exciting. I realize my crafts are really unique with a gift that I was born with. I didn’t go to school for photography nor art. But yet, here I am perfecting the two crafts together successfully. I’ve learned that everything in life takes time that includes your passions and nothing comes easy. I was told NO a lot. I’m thankful for my support system to get me through the tough times.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
With Covid still active I believe I will have a staycation at a nice hotel over the Dallas skyline as one of my views. I would relax and reflect on life. Maybe sketch and take a couple shots of the Dallas Skyline but all in all relax and decompress from everything going on in the world.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give my spiritual mentor Linda A. Drumgoole a shoutout. She have been my mentor for quite some time now. When I’m going through those tough times she has always been a call or text away. She always feed me positive intake even when Im wrong. So I want to Shoutout Rev. Linda A. Drumgoole and want to Thank her for always supporting me but most importantly being there when I need her the most
