Meet Lindsey Riel | Web Designer and Business Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Riel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindsey, how do you think about risk?
I’ve learned that risk is really just another word for growth. Five years ago, I sold my business right before Covid hit – I took some time off, and then had to start completely over from scratch. That could have been terrifying, but I’ve always believed that reinvention is part of the entrepreneurial journey. Every time I’ve taken a leap, whether it was selling, rebuilding, or diving into something new I had to teach myself- it’s stretched me in ways I never expected. I love that process. Risk keeps me learning, keeps me humble, and keeps me excited about what’s possible. I wouldn’t trade it, because every big risk I’ve taken has brought me closer to the work and life I really want.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think in the very first bio I wrote for my website years ago, I said exactly this.. “Web Design is my creative outlet, without it I would explode.” My art is building websites that don’t just look beautiful, but actually work as essentially a full-time employee for the client. I’ve been developing with WordPress for over 20 years, and what I’ve found that what sets me apart is that I bridge both the creative and strategic sides. I care deeply about design, but I care just as much about performance, SEO, and the client’s ability to actually use and love their site. I want entrepreneurs to walk away with something that feels like them and works as a tool to grow their business. Something they’re proud to share.
Getting to where I am today has been anything but easy. I sold my first business right before Covid and had to completely start over. I’m a single mom and I’ve faced plenty of personal challenges too. But every time I’ve rebuilt, I’ve come back stronger, because I’ve never stopped learning, adapting, and taking risks. That’s one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned: the path is never linear, but if you stay curious and keep showing up, you’ll find your way.
What I’m most proud of is that I’ve built a career that allows me to support my family and help other people chase their dreams at the same time. I want the world to know that my brand is about clarity, empowerment, and transformation. I don’t just build websites, I help people see what’s possible for their business and their future and get to be a part of that excitement.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to town, I’d plan the ultimate Fort Worth–Dallas adventure. We’d kick things off in the Stockyards, of course a night at Billy Bob’s – you can’t get more ‘Texas’ than live music and two-stepping there. Dinner would have to be Joe T. Garcia’s, because nothing says Fort Worth like margaritas on the patio with a big family-style spread. If the timing was right, I’d grab tickets to a concert at Dickies Arena, because that venue has an energy all its own.
Then for Dallas, we’d hit The Grassy Knoll for a little history, and for sports + social vibe, we’d definitely check out COSM. If there’s a Stars game, that’s on the agenda too. Mix in tacos, barbecue, breweries, the Arboretum and gallery strolls, and we’ve got the best of both sides of the Metroplex in one week

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes to a book that completely shifted the way I see myself and others, The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. It’s been nothing short of life-changing for me. The principles are so simple, yet so powerful: don’t take things personally, don’t make assumptions, be impeccable with your word, and always do your best. This book has been a constant mentor in my journey, a guide that has helped me navigate business, relationships, and even my own self-talk with more clarity and compassion. I owe a lot of the way I lead and live today to those four simple but profound agreements.
I also want to give a shoutout to my soon-to-be Husband, Eric Osborne. He provides me with so much support, inspiration, and motivation. Watching how hard he works and the dedication he brings to everything he does pushes me to show up fully in my own work. His encouragement has been a huge factor in helping me keep moving forward, even when the risks felt overwhelming.
