Meet Ricardo Johnson | Business Consultant/ Digital Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ricardo Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ricardo, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk taking took on a huge new meaning for me in the last 5 plus years. Whereas years earlier I looked at going away from home for a place I made home and school effort for 4 plus years. I took a huge risk leaving the security of a job I worked nearly 10 years for the uncertainties of entrepreneurship. I didnt really have a safety net or really a plan other than make this dream work with the skills I’ve obtained up to that point. Was there plenty of challenges? Yes. Where there times I wanted to quit. Absolutely. Deep down inside no matter where the journey took me I knew this was the right path to take.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My background is sales whether I sold/upsold drinks as a bartender. As an insurance agent selling p and c products before getting into the digital entrepreneur space/network marketing where I sold digital products and services while providing leadership and helping others get what they desired out of their journey. I had to learn many skills but the first thing ai had to learn was how to lead myself. It was a struggle to shift the mindset from one of an employee to that of an business owner/investor. Old paradigms, failures and friends and family not truly understanding or supporting my path I chose to take. I had many lessons along the way. Alot of trial and error. One lesson I needed to take was to be certain I had enough. $$ to sustain a minimum of 6 months. I went through what I had saved within 3 months of quitting my job in September 2019 and I found myself treading in water. I had no choice but to be resourceful during the stretch between 2019 and June 2020.
I want the world to know that if you have a story doing be afraid to tell your story. Don’t Be Afraid to take risks. Step out of your comfort zone and stay as far from it as possible. I want the world to know that my brand Purple Ink Investments and Solutions LLC is dedicated to the enlightened self interest of others: whether its personal development, opportunities to invest in new skills and products/services. Its a brand that is destined to be the ultimate solutions provider!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Several places in Downtown Fort Worth for good pizza and craft cocktails on the roof with a great vibe of downtown FW. Obviously we’ll hit up the world famous FW Stockyards on the weekend. Swing by a local bar in Willow Park for drinks a some karaoke. Then head out to Dallas in uptown to visit a few spots and have a great dining experience at Nick and Sam’s.
I also know a great spot for brunch in either Willow Patk or Weatherford where they serve up some delicious rosemary mimosas!
And if we got time get in a few swings at Top Golf and meet and greet with some influential people in the area!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There has been so many people who have been instrumental in my journey and development. First off I give all thanks, praise and glory to God! Without him, nothing is possible. Second my Mom for her strength and unconditional love and support. My mentors in business and lifestyle they believed in me when I couldn’t believe in myself.
