Meet Ta’Necia Lewis

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ta’Necia Lewis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ta’Necia, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Whew… work-life balance is something I’ve had to learn—and I’m still learning.
When I first stepped into all these roles—wife, mom of four, business owner of Monai’ Artistry, director of a child care center, and being actively involved at Grace Cathedral—I thought balance meant doing everything perfectly at the same time. That was a quick way to feel burnt out and stretched thin.
But over time, I’ve learned that balance doesn’t always mean equal—it means being present and giving priority to what’s most important in that moment. Some weeks, my business demands more. Other times, my family needs my full focus. There are days where ministry takes the lead. I’ve learned to stop chasing perfection and start pursuing peace—and for me, that’s found in God.
Grace has been my rhythm. I give myself grace when things don’t go as planned. I give grace to others around me. And I lean on God’s grace to help me manage what He’s trusted me with.
One thing I’ve become very intentional about is rest and alignment. I schedule family time, I guard my personal devotion time, and I give myself permission to pause and reset when needed. I’ve stopped trying to do it all at once—and I now focus on doing what matters most, one day at a time.
Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” That’s my daily prayer. Because when God leads, He brings divine balance.
So yes, it’s a lot—but it’s also purpose-filled. And that makes every long day worth it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Monai’ Artistry is so much more than just a beauty brand—it’s a ministry. When I created Monai’ Artistry, I knew I wanted to do more than just enhance outer beauty. I wanted to build a space where women felt seen, loved, and poured into—spiritually and emotionally. Whether I’m working with a professional, a celebrity, a First Lady, or a woman simply celebrating herself, my mission is the same: to uplift, encourage, and remind her of who she is in Christ.
Every woman who sits in my chair gets more than makeup or hair—she gets prayer, affirmation, and a moment to breathe. Because ministry isn’t limited to four walls or a pulpit—it’s about walking in your God-given assignment and using your gifts to grow the Kingdom wherever you are. That’s what Monai’ Artistry is all about.
What sets my work apart is that I truly operate from the inside out. I’m just as focused on a woman’s soul as I am her look. I’m here to serve, to listen, to encourage, and to create a safe place where beauty and healing meet. It’s personal for me. I know what it feels like to pour into everyone else and neglect yourself—so I created a brand that pours back.
Getting here professionally hasn’t been easy. I’ve faced seasons of doubt, sacrifice, and setbacks. I’ve had to balance motherhood, marriage, business, ministry, and leadership all at once. But through it all, God has been faithful. I leaned into prayer, community, and obedience even when things didn’t make sense. I’ve learned to trust His timing, to stay authentic, and to never let fear stop me from moving forward.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know, it’s this: Monai’ Artistry is where beauty meets purpose. It’s a calling, not just a company. I’m walking in it with boldness and grace, and I give God all the glory for every opportunity, every client, and every door He opens.
This is just the beginning.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, oh we’d have the best time ever! I’m all about a mix of rest, fun, faith, and a little fabulous—and the DFW area has plenty to offer. Here’s how our week would look:
Day 1 – Welcome + Wind Down
We’d kick things off with a cozy girls’ night in—candles lit, worship music playing softly, charcuterie board ready, and lots of laughter. I’d want her to feel at home and relaxed after traveling. Maybe even a little prayer time to set the tone for the week.
Day 2 – Brunch + Spa Day
We’re starting strong with brunch at Honey Bee’s in Plano—the vibe, the food, everything is top-tier. Then we’d head straight to WorldSprings Day Spa in The Colony for a full day of soaking, detoxing, and relaxing in those global-inspired pools and saunas. Self-care is a must.
Day 3 – Shopping & Chic Moments
Time to glam up! We’d stroll through Legacy West in Frisco—grab a few outfits, take cute pics, maybe a sweet treat from Amorino Gelato. I’m all about making memories while looking good doing it.
Day 4 – Lunch + Laughs
We’d grab lunch at Hutchins BBQ—because you cannot visit Texas without good barbecue. Then hit up The Big Game Show in The Colony. It’s so fun and interactive, and we’d be laughing the whole time—friendly competition and all.
Day 5 – Faith + Fellowship
A slower morning with coffee and devotionals, then head to Grace Cathedral COGIC for an evening service or rehearsal. I’d introduce her to my church family and let her experience the love and power of our community. God always finds a way to show up.
Day 6 – Luxury + Dinner Vibes
One last glam moment—hair curled, lashes on—we’re stepping out for a fancy dinner at Perry’s in Frisco. A toast to sisterhood, purpose, and memories made. Because every now and then, you deserve to sit pretty and celebrate.
Day 7 – The Best Way to End a Visit: Church
We’d close the week the best way possible—Sunday morning worship at Grace Cathedral COGIC in Dallas under the leadership of my pastor, Superintendent Nathaniel Green. There’s no better way to be refueled and recharged before heading back home. I already know the Word is going to be rich, the worship will be powerful, and her soul will leave full

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh absolutely—I couldn’t be where I am today without some incredible people and the hand of God guiding me every step of the way.
First and foremost, all glory goes to God. His grace, strength, and favor have carried me through every season—especially the ones where I felt stretched thin and unsure of how I’d manage it all. He’s the ultimate source of my peace, creativity, and purpose.
Next, I have to shout out my amazing husband, Reginald. His love, support, and patience ground me. He’s my calm in the chaos, my biggest cheerleader, and the one who reminds me who I am when life gets overwhelming. I’m so grateful for the partnership we’ve built—balancing our family, our callings, and our dreams together.
To my beautiful mother, who is the blueprint of grace, excellence, and ambition—thank you. Not only is she the owner of several businesses (including the child care center I’m blessed to direct), but she’s also the example I’ve looked to my entire life. She taught me that showing up, looking the part, and operating in excellence is non-negotiable.
And finally, to my father, who instilled in me the value of hard work from day one. Watching him work with consistency, commitment, and integrity taught me that nothing worth having comes without sacrifice. That work ethic lives in everything I do today—from motherhood to business, ministry, and beyond.
So yes, I may be juggling a lot—but I stand on the foundation these amazing people helped build in me. I thank God for each of them.
