Meet Jeffery Hobbs | Restaurant operator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeffery Hobbs and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeffery, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Plain and simple, be your own boss.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’re a restaurant first, serving incredible BBQ. Our guests come hungry, but they stay for the unexpected hospitality and atmosphere.
We constantly remind our team that every customer is a guest. This means a warm welcome, a friendly smile, and an immediate “Hello, welcome to Slow Bone!” Every employee is encouraged to make eye contact, smile, and engage right away. We want our guests to feel recognized and cared for, even if they have to wait a moment for our full attention.
From the moment they walk in, through the line, and into the dining room, our goal is to provide a seamless feeling of being looked after. We want their bellies full, their minds relaxed, and their experience – whether with dining companions or enjoying the quiet hum of the room – to be truly enjoyable.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
