We had the good fortune of connecting with TarNeisha Mukoko and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi TarNeisha, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
This affirmation—“IN ORDER FOR YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES TO CHANGE, YOU MUST FIRST CHANGE”—speaks directly to how I relate to growth and transformation in every area of my life:

1. My Core Insight

I hold the power to act: I don’t wait for circumstances to shift around me; I choose to move first.

I know inner work comes first: I must evolve my mindset, habits, and beliefs before I’ll see new opportunities, relationships, or outcomes appear.

2. What It Means to Me

Empowerment in action: In founding Life With TarNeisha, LLC, I trusted that my own willingness to grow would lay the foundation for helping others.

Faith-informed trust: When I align my heart and actions with God’s purpose, I open the door for Him to work through me—and I’ve seen that play out again and again.

Commitment to continuous growth: As a coach and doula, I live this truth daily: when I shift my perspective or adopt new self‑care practices, my clients feel empowered to do the same.

3. What I Love About It

Its clarity: There’s no fluff—just a direct reminder that change begins with me.

Its universal reach: Whether I’m guiding a new mother, planning a community event, or refining my own routines, this truth applies.

Its spark of hope: It reminds me that by investing in myself—my thoughts, attitudes, and daily actions—I set the stage for every other area of my life (and the lives I touch) to flourish.

In embracing this affirmation, I continually model for others what it looks like to step courageously into new possibilities—starting from within.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Life With TarNeisha, LLC, is the culmination of my passion for holistic transformation, mental health, advocacy, and compassionate doula support. Founded on my conviction that every individual deserves to live in freedom—emotionally, spiritually, and physically—I offer an integrated suite of services: one‑on‑one and group life coaching, perinatal and postpartum doula care, mental health education, and community workshops. What sets me apart is my commitment to culturally responsive, faith‑infused care that meets clients exactly where they are, honors their stories, and equips them with practical tools to navigate life’s critical transitions.

What I Am Most Proud Of
•   My client‑centered model, which blends evidence‑based coaching techniques with compassionate doula support, has yielded measurable improvements in well‑being, confidence, and birth outcomes.
•   The community partnerships I have forged—with Cook Children’s, United Way Tarrant County, JPS Foundation, and local faith communities—have allowed me to extend my reach and amplify my impact.
•   Seeing mothers and families thrive, reclaim their agency, and report lasting change remains the greatest reward of all.

My Journey
Building Life With TarNeisha, LLC was neither quick nor easy. I began as a single mother navigating my own mental health challenges, and I saw how gaps in support and education left families feeling isolated. Determined to fill those gaps, I pursued certification as a life and mental health coach, deepened my doula training, and invested in community‑based collaborations. Each credential earned and each partnership formed was born out of long hours of study, networking, and prayer.

Overcoming Challenges
Financial constraints, systemic inequities, and the emotional weight of supporting others tested my resolve. I overcame these obstacles by leaning into faith, cultivating a network of mentors and peers, and refusing to sacrifice my own self‑care. I also learned to celebrate small victories—each workshop completed, each client’s breakthrough, each new referral—so that progress never felt out of reach.

Lessons I’ve Learned
1.   True transformation begins with authentic connection. Listening deeply to each person’s story reveals the precise support they need.
2.   Sustainable growth requires both strategic planning and flexibility; adaptability has become a core strength.
3.   Faith and evidence‑based practice are not mutually exclusive; when I thoughtfully combine them, they generate profound and lasting change.

What I Want the World to Know
Life With TarNeisha, LLC exists to remind every individual—especially mothers and women of color—that freedom is possible. My story is proof that, even in the face of barriers, transformation can take root when guided by purpose, fortified by community, and grounded in faith. I invite you to step into your next chapter with courage, knowing that support, education, and empowerment await.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wholeheartedly dedicate this affirmation—and all I am and all I do—to God.

Through every season of my life—both the valleys and the mountaintops—He has been my constant source of wisdom, strength, and hope. It is by His grace that I’ve been empowered to step into transformation, to trust beyond what I can see, and to model freedom and growth for those I serve.

Thank You, Lord, for guiding my thoughts, shaping my heart, and opening doors that no human effort alone could unlock. All praise and honor belong to You.
