We had the good fortune of connecting with Doreiby (dory) Riker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Doreiby (Dory), how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born in Cali, Colombia, and moved to Queens, NY, when I was almost eight years old. Growing up between a 3rd world country and the concrete jungle shaped me in ways I could never have imagined. It instilled in me resilience, strength, and the determination to keep pushing forward no matter what. Today, as a professional, a momprenur and a wife, that strength drives me every day. I don’t quit, and I don’t stop working toward my dreams and goal because perseverance is part of who I am.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
A dynamic professional with a unique blend of expertise in marketing, business development, and healthcare, I bring a results-driven approach to cultivating growth, fostering innovation, and improving quality of life.

My background includes working along side Mr. Derek “LA” Jackson scouting talent, securing partnerships, and creating strategic branding opportunities. I excel in business development, having successfully executed contracts, streamlined operations, and managed cross-departmental communications to drive revenue and build lasting relationships.

Currently, I serve as a Clinical Navigator for PAM Rehabilitation Hospital, where I connect families, doctors, and communities with specialized rehabilitative care. My role bridges hospitals, healthcare providers, assisted living facilities (ALFs), and home settings, ensuring patients receive seamless, high-quality services tailored to their recovery and rehabilitative goals.

Complementing my marketing acumen is my dedication to healthcare. As a Women’s Health Certified professional specializing in occupational therapy, pelvic floor rehabilitation, and wellness education, I have helped patients improve physical and emotional well-being. My work includes developing tailored therapeutic care plans, spearheading lymphedema management programs, and educating caregivers and communities through virtual and in-person workshops.

I have also served as an event speaker and wellness educator, designing impactful health programs and workshops for individuals, groups, and corporations. My approach integrates practical tools like shopping tours, meditation, personalized fitness plans and more to promote healthier lifestyles.

Driven by creativity, compassion, and an entrepreneurial mindset, I thrive in connecting people, ideas, and initiatives that make a measurable difference—whether in the boardroom or the treatment room.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I found my understanding and passion for lymphatics after watching my mom beat breast cancer in 2006. She struggled to find proper lymphedema care due to the lack of awareness and resources. When the time came to specialize in OT, a lymphedema certification through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies was at the top of my list. Since then I have helped many clients heal and start a new relationship with their body, food and health goals. I give my mother recognition, my husband for always supporting me I. studying “weird classes” as he calls them and my business idea when lymphatics wasn’t even trendy yet lol and of course my three children Kevin, Kaleb and Audrey. They are the fuel my soul needs to be better and success more daily. They are my everything.
