Meet Lucinda Seals | Event Coordinator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lucinda Seals and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lucinda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Initially, I had no intention of entering the event coordination space—I actually aspired to be a dentist. I’ve always had a deep appreciation for dental health and hygiene. However, over time, I discovered a natural talent for organization and timeline management, particularly when planning family gatherings and small events for friends. While pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, I never anticipated developing such a strong passion and skill for event planning and coordination. Yet, it became clear that this was a path where I could truly excel.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One of the key qualities that sets me apart is my ability to conceptualize an event and bring it to life with passion and precision. Thanks to my unique superpower—adult ADHD—what some might see as a hindrance to creativity has actually become one of my greatest strengths.
Growing up, I was often told that because I got lost in my thoughts, I wouldn’t be able to harness my creativity. However, I’ve come to realize that creativity isn’t confined by structure—it is defined by us. We are the ones who shape art and innovation.
My ability to visualize an event from start to finish, execute the vision, and deliver a seamless experience is what truly distinguishes me. While my attention to detail can sometimes lead to overthinking, I’ve learned that even the smallest details can make or break an event. It’s this meticulous approach that allows me to create unforgettable experiences.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First, as soon as my friend arrives and I pick them up from the airport, we’re heading straight for sushi and dumplings. While Texas is famous for its BBQ, Austin has a hidden gem—a cozy dumpling spot just outside of downtown, so we can enjoy a delicious meal without battling traffic.
Next, since I love being outdoors, we’ll explore the natural beauty that Texas has to offer. We’ll start at Zilker Park and Lady Bird Lake, then make our way north toward my home. Along the way, we’ll stop in Killeen to visit Fort Cavazos, continue to Dana Peak in Harker Heights, and explore some of the 64 city parks available in Temple.
And when it comes to food—we’re going everywhere! The list is too long to name, so my friend better come hungry and ready to eat!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to my mother. She passed away when I was about five years old, and though my memories of her come from stories and photographs, her presence has always been with me.
Secondly, I want to thank my son for his unwavering love and support. When people say they do things for their children, it can sometimes sound like a cliché, but in my case, it couldn’t be more true. He is the reason I strive every day to be a better person, a devoted mother, and a dedicated business owner.
Lastly, I want to acknowledge my third-grade teacher, Ms. Williams. She was an incredible woman who instilled in me the belief that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. Her influence sparked my love for history, learning, and adventure—passions that continue to shape who I am today.
