Meet Chris Schnabel | Founder, Schnabel Studios

We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Schnabel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chris, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
When I started my business, I had a solid background in video and social media, but the business side of things caught me by surprise. I knew running a business involved more than just shooting and editing videos, but I wasn’t prepared for how much there was to manage. The experience taught me how to balance my time effectively—getting my work done, handling business operations and paperwork, and still making time for my personal life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am the founder and creative director of Schnabel Studios, LLC, a videography, photography, and social media company based in Dallas. We specialize in sports video, music videography, and event coverage. I started Schnabel Studios in 2015, focusing initially on music videos, concerts, and a documentary series called Off Stage, which followed emerging musicians on the day of a show.
Recently, Schnabel Studios became my full-time focus, and we’ve had the privilege of working with incredible individuals such as Aaron Judge, Dak Prescott, and PJ Washington. Over the past 10 years, the journey hasn’t been easy. Transitioning from grassroots documentaries to gaining high-profile clients has been a long and challenging road. But consistency and striving to make each video better than the last have fueled our growth.
At Schnabel Studios, we want every client to feel that their project means as much to us as it does to them. We put our heart and soul into every project, ensuring the highest quality in everything we create.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a big fan of The Colony—there’s always something to do, and the area is full of energy, making it a great place to visit. As an avid basketball player, I’d also take them to some of my favorite courts around Dallas, from parks in Plano to courts in downtown Dallas. For food, I’d recommend hitting the Truck Yard to enjoy a variety of food trucks—it’s a fun way to try different flavors while exploring the area.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family, Caryn and Rob Schnabel; my girlfriend, Mary Hutti, and her mom, Bonnie Hutti; and my closest circle—Josh Reddy, Joe Brown, Dave Puglisi, Chandler Williams, Haley Christie, Jhon Guarin, Dylan Thompson, and Kyle Scott. And, of course, my entire team at Schnabel Studios.
