Meet Summerboyz Clothing | Clothing Brand

We had the good fortune of connecting with Summerboyz Clothing and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi SummerboyZ, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
We were all just hanging out after work one day and Posey came up with the name SummerboyZ. So ever since that day we started calling the friend group SummerboyZ. Around 2020 Reece had designed the first logo and he surprised us with some shirts for Christmas. We all are creatively talented individuals, but together were stronger and form like Voltron. So eventually we knew what we wanted to do and make something greater for the world to see. Since then we all decided it was time for us to start a business for ourselves..

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Not trying to be like everyone else and creating our own lane. Always staying consistent with every aspect of the brand. All the creative ideas we have a long thought process when it comes to what we release. Dott and Reece always execute and create some dope designs. We’re very fashionable, so we not only consider if we would wear it but more essentially will it stand out to everyone else as well. Starting out it was hard to find balance, because it was so new to us starting this brand. At the time, Reece decided to quit his 9-5 job to dedicate a lot of his time to build the foundation while we couldn’t at the time. But the more we learned about the ins and out of what we needed to do, becoming more balanced became so much greater. If it wasn’t for us taking a leap of faith in our vision there wouldn’t be no brand. We’re all about peace, love, and positivity. This brand is one way of us showing who we are as SummerboyZ.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Almost all of our friends love ramen so first would have to JINYA or Piranha Killer Ramen are two of the best spots for food for us. When night time rolls around, anywhere on 7th street for places to get drinks but The Bodega is definitely the go to on the list. P Loves to skate a lot so The Forum Roller World is great place to go (even if you don’t skate like most of us) seeing the skate community all the time in their element is very interesting it’s alway a vibe. We love games so any place that has arcade games, laser tag, or go kart racing we’re there. For some of us we go to EDM shows around Dallas and Ft. Worth, so If you love bass and wubs but never been to a show it’s a great place to have fun and met some fun exciting people.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We want to shoutout everyone from our friends and family that’s supported us since ground zero for the love and appreciation. It will always mean a lot to us as this journey continues to grow and expand. Thank you to our people in Dallas, H-Town, Florida, and So Cal.
