We had the good fortune of connecting with Marsha Telfer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marsha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Owners and husband/ wife duo Adrian & Marsha Telfer established Reggae Jerk Hut in 2022. Adrian is an Army veteran who once served in the US Military as an Infantryman. Although Adrian loved serving his country, he also has a passion for cooking traditional Jamaican dishes. Marsha who’s family is from Haiti, loves to cook her family’s delicious Haitian recipes but with a twist. Their passion for food and community was the driving force when opening Reggae Jerk Hut. The duo was determined to open an authentic casual dining Caribbean restaurant and bar in McKinney to increase diversity and to let others experience both of their Caribbean culture through the food, drinks, and vibes. Guests from all over the world can have a taste of Jamaica and Haiti right in the north of Dallas. Reggae Jerk Hut is where you will experience Good Food, Good People, and Good Vibes.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
