We had the good fortune of connecting with Eduardo Cardoso and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eduardo, what do you attribute your success to?
If I had to narrow it down to one thing, it would be my faith and reliance on God, Jesus. I would not be where I am if it weren’t for Him. My faith and strength comes from Him. He will always open doors that no other person can. I spent so much time working for different people, networking, and getting others’ opinions on what I should or shouldn’t do, but at the end of the day, it’s God that comes first.

God put my business and career in my heart, and all I’ve ever had to do was trust that he would finish the work he started.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
It certainly wasnt easy. I come from Oak Cliff, Tx. Both of my parents moved here from Mexico at a young age. My mother had me when she was 16 years old, so instead of going to prom and football games, she spent her time working and raising me.

It was her dream for me to attend university, so when I told her I wanted to be A United States Marine, it shocked her.

Now imagine what she said when I told her I wanted to be an actor….actually, she took that pretty well. My mom is the best.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is not to give up. You will 100% fail. At some point, you will fail. Sometimes, what you want to do now won’t be what you do. This path to acting has not been linear. I went on 2 combat deployments to Afghanistan, started a marketing business, went back to school, started a health and wellness business, moved to Colombia, traveled Europe, moved back to Los Angeles, got my first modeling agent in Hollywood, moved back to Texas, stared in my first movie, did countless commercials, and here we are today.

Living the dream.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Dallas Texas, is the best state in the country. So first, I’d congratulate them on making it here. Then I’d take them to my grandma’s and let them experience some of the best home cooking in the world.

After that, we’d probably go down and visit Dowtowns best museums, the DMA, The Perot, and depending on the time of the year watch some good old Dallas Cowboys football, Texas Rangers Baseball, Dallas Stars hockey game, or maybe an FC Dallas game, don’t forget some BBQ at Terry Blacks.

For a bonus, we’d go to Addison and watch a show at the Addison Impov, and catch another show at The Majestic Theater 🙂

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God, Jesus, my mother, my father, my sisters, my brothers, and if I had to recommend a book, it would be the Bible.

I understand everyone comes from different backgrounds, and I believe in Jesus Christ. I also think that other people are entitled to their beliefs.

I have many friends and loved ones who have their higher power of choice, and I think you’ll be right as long as you have that.

I’ve read countless business books, but ultimately, the most critical teachings have come from God and his word in the Bible.
