We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew (Titan) Finch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrew (Titan), what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand has been staying true to myself. I learned very early on to keep the main thing, the main thing. Your values and principles will always define and show through. For me, the main things are God, Family, Business, in that order.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart…that’s a great start to this question.
It’d be easy to give a cliché answer to say I’m me, but truly what sets me apart, is I honestly don’t care what anyone thinks about me. I go out everyday and if I have a plan I go with, but I also live by the instincts within me. If my mojo says switch it up or I see something in the moment, then I’m flexible enough to call an audible. I feel I get that from my spirit of discernment, being a quarterback, and being a point guard.
I got here from creative, innovative, adaptation, learning, figuring out how to smarter not harder. WINNERS FIGURE IT OUT!
I overcame challenges through relentless efforts, sleepless nights, early mornings, reaching out to mentors, studying greats, and taking notes along the way.
The lessons I’ve learned along the way really came from my sports background and applying them. Commitment. Discipline. Integrity. Communication. Teamwork. Focus. Perseverance. Tough times don’t last, but tough people do!
My brand is all about Creating Your Own Universe! The life around you is to be created by you and no one else!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d take them to Deep Ellum and go to The Freeman Cajun Cafe. I’d take them to any 54th St bar & grill. I’d take them to Valentino’s NY Pizza. I’d take them to Chicken N Pickle. I’d take them to Texas Live and The Star in Frisco!
Those are just a few places to check out when coming to the DFW.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to shoutout no one specifically, but I’d rather acknowledge just in general all my family, friends, coaches, clients, and athletes that have been with me on my journey. I’ve lived in other states. I’ve washed up in airport bathrooms. I’ve slept in my car, as well as on the back row of airplanes, floors, and recliner couches. I’ve had to borrow money and couldn’t repay it, but no matter what I’ve had so many people believe in my dream. They have believed in my vision, my mission, and my purpose to change lives through my ministry of sports and helping others.
