We had the good fortune of connecting with Whitney Gardner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Whitney, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
As a life coach specializing in helping ambitious working mamas, the quote “Give yourself one hour of the day so you can give the rest of the day to everyone else” resonates deeply with the core principles of my coaching philosophy. It perfectly states the transformative power of self-care and the ripple effect it can have on your overall well-being. This quote is a reminder that taking care of yourself first is not a selfish act but a necessary prerequisite for providing the best to others. By giving yourself the gift of even one hour, it becomes possible to approach the day with renewed energy, resilience, and a more centered mindset, ultimately leading to healthier relationships and a more fulfilling life.

In essence, this quote aligns with the transformative journey I guide mamas through. It serves as a compass, directing them toward a more balanced and intentional life—one where personal development isn’t a luxury but an essential investment that empowers them to navigate the complexities of motherhood with grace, authenticity, and the resilience needed to create lasting positive change.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have always had an “entrepreneurial” spirit and knew I was meant to do more with my life than work a corporate job. I started a podcast back in 2020 called Words with Whit, nothing came from it at the time but it was the beginning of me exploring the digital space as a creator.

After some time passed and I became a mama, I realized how truly challenging it is, and that mamas need more support, resources, and guidance. Once my family and I decided we were going to move to Texas from California, I created a plan to quit my full-time job to pursue full-time entrepreneurship instead,

I knew this was my time to go “all in” and follow my dreams. I wake up every day feeling excited, grateful, and fulfilled. I am still new to my journey and it has not been “easy” but it also has not been “difficult” either. I trust I am being guided towards the highest good and that opportunities will come to me when I am ready to receive them. I constantly have a “I will figure it out” kind of attitude and embody a hopeful energy.

I am most proud of my ability to pivot and stay open-minded to new opportunities. The Bold Mama Co.™ started as a blog, and then I transitioned into coaching, I have a podcast coming out in February 2024, I am preparing to do public speaking, create courses, workshops, and so much more. I am most excited to see what comes of this platform and my ability to help other mamas. Some of my long-term goals are to start a charity, write a book, go on TV talk shows, and the list goes on.

I think some of the biggest lessons and mantras I have learned along the way so far are to “let things be easy”, to “trust in the process”, and that “action creates clarity”. I believe mindset, endless positivity, and a sense of abundance are the greatest sources of success. I just do one thing to move my business forward every day and am continuing to evolve as time goes on.

I want the world to know that mamas have a special place in my heart, and if you are a mama, you are doing a great job and it is not easy! Just take things one moment at a time and learn to make time for yourself amidst the chaos of daily life. You’ve got this!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So honestly, I just moved to the Dallas area a few months ago! I am not well-versed in all of the “best spots” so far, but if I could choose anything to do and money was no object, I would want to go to the mall with my friend and have a designer shopping spree, to go out for dinner at a nice restaurant and have Mexican food and margaritas, and then go to a Dallas Cowboys football game!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To my mother for always encouraging me to not “lose myself” once I became a mother, and to make my health and wellness a priority.

To my husband, for supporting me and my dreams day in and day out without fail.

To my daughter, for being my inspiration and source of “why” in this lifetime. I am forever grateful she gave me the title of “mama”.
