We had the good fortune of connecting with Peter Guerrero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Peter, how do you define success?
My philosophy tends to align with the definition, which is: “Achieving a favorable or desired outcome,” but with a twist. Choosing my own words I’d say “Success is defined by dreaming big; having a big vision and achieving partially or fully your desires.” You may not get all that you ask for out of life, so ask for a lot and don’t ever stop fighting for it!
Also, NEVER get wrapped up about whatever it is that you don’t have at that moment. Enjoy every day and enjoy building your success, because you can find success in every single step you take to move forward. And also be happy about it, because happiness is also success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have always been somebody who wants to learn and share knowledge. Ever since I was young my mom taught me how to share information and blessings with people so they could have a better quality of life.

I am very passionate about research and I always want to find ways to innovate. Which makes me want to talk about success again, not the Hollywood version of it, but what inspires me to succeed: Sharing.
To find your version of success, you may be challenged in countless ways. For a select few, they do seem to have lucked out and been given some sort of golden ticket on the success train, express. I hope you can be one of those cases, but if you end up like the rest of us, being faced with challenges and obstacles along the way, you will have to find a way to love what you do. The love of money does not bring success. It’s the love of the process, of your customers, of your work that will bring success to you as a bi-product. When you put your heart on it and you truly care about your customer, you don’t have to try very hard.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
You absolutely have to check out Amano when you visit. Also Kin, Luciano’s. Guido’s, Anthony’s, and the Cottonwood Grille are all unforgettable dinner spots. I would definitely recommend going for a hike. Within a short drive, you can find amazing hiking trails and experience nature. Star gazing is also very recommended, especially if you drive to a camping site out in the forest!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The one who inspired me most would have to be my mom who taught me how to be a fearless businessman, unintimidated by any circumstances, challenges, or adversity and how to create success in any environment or situation. She also showed me how to genuinely share knowledge to improve people’s lives and how to really care about the customers needs. She is a successful entrepreneur of over 38 years. Her brand Emulate Natural Care aids, treats, and improves the lives of countless thousands of Americans.

There is nothing like having a customer call you just to say ‘thank you’ because you were able to provide them something that relieved their pain, or helped them sleep better. Having someone take the time to call you to say that you somehow improved their life, that is the biggest reward and my mom taught me that!
