Meet TANYA BAKER | The (Original) Spiritual Life Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with The Spiritual Life Coach: Prophetess TANYA BAKER, and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi TANYA, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
As the original Spiritual Life Coach, my social impact is spreading positivity and self-help tools. I use various motivational tools and words that assist people in self-healing, spiritual freedom from oppression, demonic deliverance, development of strength in areas of weakness, and more. One might call me a demon buster! I empower my clients and followers to love themselves as God intended by teaching healing and deliverance. I believe in the infallible Word of God when it says we can do all things through Christ, who is our strength. I also think of the powerful tools that the world has gained from psychology for healing our minds. It has been said that our mind can recover from pain and stress and can assist in freeing us from natural and spiritual attacks, some self-inflicted and some caused by others.
What we believe about ourselves is essential to our total healing. You cannot heal one part of your being as we are Triune individuals (body, soul, and mind) and not cure the whole person. This means the strongest side will likely subdue the weaker side if that side is sinful, wicked, dark, or evil. We are in trouble. It has been seen throughout time that our damaged side is more likely to re-infect the good side of us. This will then cause most who are not strong mentally and spiritually or even naturally to return to behaviors that are harmful to themselves. My ministry, business, and life’s work seeks to help people heal the total man. To help my clients not return to negative behaviors. To help them rise up and become the closest they can to their god self. Through social media, I have gained an international audience and the attention of world-renowned leaders and celebrities. Also, I have been able to reach areas that, without social media, I would not have been able to impact. My books have blessed people as well as my messages. My mentoring program has helped people heal their minds, marriages, and families. I have traveled and seen people healed and delivered because of my words, preaching, and social media posts. I have also witnessed suicide attempts and more because of words given through my social media platform to save lives. I have connected people to God and psychological tools to help heal their issues in life. And I am just getting started!
I want to change how we deal with pain and trauma and recover from it. I want people to stop using religion as a get-out-of-jail-free card. We reap what we sow; sometimes, we are the products of what life has dealt us. No man or woman can or will escape a job-like moment. Pain is also a part of God’s plan, like it or not. We cannot know that we require someone greater or higher than us without experiencing pain, loss, or having a need. Pain causes us to respect our processes of development. It causes us to appreciate where we once were and where we are now.
I want to empower a generation of men, especially women, to embrace the hardships of life as lessons for growth and to know that when the best comes, how to maintain it. I have a saying I give to my clients: PAUSE, PRAY, PREACH! Pause to assess what is happening in your life. Pray before you react, and Preach once you have prayed and sought God. So now, you can respond in a way that does not offend but will allow God to minister to your or someone else’s heart in your situations. Remember this: the mountain top is the trick. We are taught it’s the best place. I teach my mentees and clients the valley is the best place. Because there you are covered, there the enemy can’t find you. There, you will learn to handle the mountaintop when all is exposed.
My Bio Reads:
As a motivational speaker, spiritual life coach, and author, ordained Pastor Tanya Baker has a heart for the people of God and lives her life to steer people toward positivity. Working through social media, books, and the preached Word of God, she is a sought-after motivational speaker and power-packed orator of the Word of God. Her prophetic gift is unlike anything we have seen in the world today/ She is truly anointed, and after leaving her gifts to herself and those whom God allowed her to share, she is now taking her talent to the world!

I first recognized the gift of prophecy at the age of 7. I know now that I was born a prophet. I walk in the office. Starting at age 7, it was then that I could accurately see things about people and tell them something they knew, except by God, that I could not know anything. As far back as I can remember, I also saw demons, angelic beings, and spirits from age 7. I was not your ordinary 7-year-old or child.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an AVP in Banking, a Financial Coach, a Spiritual Life Coach, a Prophet, and a Lead Pastor at Tabula Rasa Life Center. As a Leader and Spiritual Life Coach, my gifts have set me apart from others. I seek not to build the person’s emotions through theatrics and motivational words. But to give them, as we say in Christianity, the “meat” of the Word that will stick to their bones and raise a standard in times of distress and trouble. Please know that not only being called, gifted, and anointing got me here, but education and hard as well. Challenges are always present, and through Christ, I am an overcomer.
Lessons:
Though you will experience life’s bumps when God is at the center, you cannot lose. Everything cannot be prayed away. There are things in this life you need to go through. Learn the lesson, and use it to grow and to grow others. Your life and your gifts and talents are not just for you. They are for every person God has assigned to you along this journey called life. And when you succeed in helping others, this is what makes us all great! This is our true “God-Factor!”
I want the world always to remember me for my love of Christ and people. My passion for people and others and their ability to see themselves as God does. We have all been through something: divorce, rejection, abuse, suicidal tendencies, financial loss or gain, homelessness, brokenness, and shame. But we are still here! I want people to know I learned I was still here for others to live. When we die, we are no longer effective in the earth. So don’t be silent now while you have a voice. While you have hands, use them to build. While you have feet, use them to take over territories. While you have eyes, use them to see what others cannot and lead them forward. I couldn’t give up. I couldn’t choose suicide like my dad did when I was 7. I had to live so others could live. And as long as I stay true to myself and not try to become someone else or live off their visions. I would be successful in what God wanted me to accomplish in this life. I want a dash that speaks volumes, not to fade away with time.
I learned and continue to learn to speak Philippians 4:8 over myself. To think about those things. The enemy is under my feet. Romans 16:20 because God will crush his head. No weapon formed against shall me or will prosper! Isaiah 54:17 And I am blessed in all that I do Deuteronomy 28:6-8
Lastly, I am a kingdom builder claiming and taking over territories. Joshua 1:3

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d take my bestie Zonda of 25 plus years, who just left to church. There is no better place to take her. We would visit several restaurants around Dallas and spend the days chatting and reconnecting, revisiting past times. My bestie was just here, and I called up my other sister-friend Simone Smith, wife of LL Cool J, and got us tickets to the LL Cool J concert to see my bro in Christ perform. Besides that, I am a simple girl; I fill my days with the Word, motivating others, and working. Last, we would probably cook some of our southern favorites, like greens, fried chicken, and hot water cornbread, with some cherry or grape Kool-Aid. We always go shopping at some of the outlets and to North Park Mall. I loved showing her some of my favorite stores around town, like Nordstrom, Saks, and Neimans.
We’d visit Allen and Forth Worth to catch up with family and friends and downtown Dallas uptown to sightsee. Then, on Sunday, we would be at church for sure. I love Relevant Worship Center Dr. Regina Spellmon in Forth Worth, One Community Church, and Tabula Rasa Life Center virtual services. That’s what we live for!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow, there are so many people:
Bishop Bobby Baker, my husband of 23 years and now friend (So many lessons learned in our marriage). Bishop Darrel Hines, Pastor Pamela Hines, Bishop Noel Jones, First Lady Loretta Jones, Dr. Regina Spellmon, and Phebe Hines, my Godmother. Connie, Karen, and Gwen Lindsey, my aunts. My mother, Shirley Washington. It takes a village! These individuals are my village; they pray for me, mentor me, and hold my hand through my moments of weakness and shame.
Most importantly, they guided me to God’s love when I felt unlovable and lost. Because of their examples of leadership and pushing me to educate myself and to take my stories and make them my catalyst for greatness, I have a real relationship with Christ. These wonderful people have endured shame and condemnation, pulling through by God’s grace – they are living examples of what having Christ at the center looks like. I love them because they never gave up on me and never will. I believe their lives are proof of God’s goodness and mercy. I am me! I am here! I am alive, and I made it here! And I can keep going further. I will never give up because of my village!
Bishop Bobby Baker has been a profound part of my growth in the Lord. He is finance extraordinaire and has financed many commercial projects and churches you all know and love in and outside Texas. His love for me taught me how to love through being looked at as unloveable. Twenty-three years married and almost 30 together has been full of so much we made it through together. He is and always will be the love of my life, and sometimes, you know, when you were that rib from a man’s side. Though we did not work out as we both wanted, our relationship has taught me forgiveness and to love without conditions. He was the first to set me on a platform and to give me a stage to preach. When the world did not accept women, he blazed a more prominent trail for me than I could imagine. He called me his prophet first before introducing me as a prophet to the world; this was huge for me. Because if your husband doesn’t believe in you, who will? He witnessed first-hand God’s hand in my life as we grew in the power of the Lord together.
We traveled the world doing healing and deliverance ministry and made it our mission to see others saved, healed, and delivered. Two broken people, helping others heal while we healed and grew from our own issues in life. We were inseparable, and He sponsored and funded my first book. He funded my first business and has always, even now, still supported any and everything I wanted to become and do in this life. I am forever grateful. I wish to thank Bishop because even in his failures, He never let me allow myself to fail. Despite our critics, we love each other today from a God place and will always be the best cheerleaders for each other and best of friends.
Dr. Regina Spellmon: That’s my warrior mom! She picked me up when I fell so low that I did not think low was low enough. She is the image of power and being imperfectly perfect in ministry for me. She is a survivor, Pastor, leader, and author. Dr. Spellmon is the owner-operator of The Spellmon Fine Arts Academy in Fort Worth, Texas, and the senior Pastor of the Relevant Worship Center there. I watched her in a male-dominated area in ministry stand out and stand firm. She taught me to believe in my gift and use my ugly to push me forward. She taught me that ugly has its beauty, too.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but when you are the beholder. You control what you see about yourself in the mirror and if the view changes. Let it change because you choose to change it and own what you want to see in that changed view. She is constantly pushing me never to allow the negative words of others to distort my view. Recently, after suffering horrible social media slander from some very challenged individuals. It was her words amongst the rest of my tribe that kept me strong. She reminded me that hurt people hurt people, and what you minister to you will most likely go through. God wants us to have first-hand experience in what we teach others how to cure. She is my in my Beyonce voice, “Alien SuperStar!” When love let me down, she picked me up with a new form, and now I know God’s love is colorful. That’s an insider because she loves her color. She does it all. I am grateful to be her Spiritual Goddaughter.
Bishop Noel Jones and Loretta Jones City of Refuge Church LA. My extraordinary spiritual covering and parents. If you know them, you know them. Bishop Noel Jones has some skin in the ministry game. Bishop Noel Jones preaches in and outside the United States and worldwide. He is a legacy builder and a well-respected Bishop in and outside the African-American Christian Community. First Lady Loretta is a serial entrepreneur and an image of strength and perseverance. I have seen her attacked like no one should be attacked and keep her head held high. It is so upsetting how women of God are attacked because the men of God choose them/us.
I don’t know, except by Christ and a fantastic husband, that she does it. Who wouldn’t want parents like this? To have the honor and privilege to know them, to be loved by them, and to serve under them is an honor. They are no-nonsense, yet funny, relatable, and care for the people and communities they serve. Through them, I learned that the only real success we will ever see is when we do it God’s way. Bishop teaches such groundbreaking and practical messages that cause you to take a deep, in-depth look within. He is about picking the speck out of your eye before you try to drive a stake in another. Love that about him and his teaching style. You are not allowed to take the easy route, but the routes God gives. Hard or easy, they remind me that I am built for every task and everything God sends my way.
Bishop Darrel Hines and Pastor Pamela Hines Christian Faith Fellowship Church Milwaukee Wi, It was under these spiritual parents that I learned who God is, received the Holy Ghost or accepted Him, and discovered my prophetic gift. Pastor Pamela Hines taught me how to be a Proverbs 31 woman and a Godly wife., She is the master at it. The two have been married for over 40+ years. Bishop is a remarkable leader, and He has imprinted in my life holiness and the value of it. I am forever grateful for their love.
Along with Phebe Hines, my Godmother, they saw me through suicide attempts as a child, college, becoming a mother and wife for the first time, and running from God. They walked with me through abuse, and many of the storms life would bring to me. They never gave up on me and never let me give up on myself. They are always a phone call away.
My aunts – Gwen Lindsey, Karen Lindsey, and Connie Lindsey, were my examples of strong women and survival. They each are very successful and very influential in my life. They pushed education and said I was not allowed to let anything that happened to me or that presented dysfunction in my life be used as a crutch. Notably, my aunt Connie Lindsey and then-husband Bishop Bobby Baker influenced me to speak and to be in banking and finance. My aunt Connie is a staple in her Chicago community.
Please read my aunt Connie’s BIO here, and you will understand why I am such a proud niece:

I am grateful for the sometimes hard words about negative behaviors as a young woman she saw at times she gave me to keep me focused. My aunts kept me from being a statistic and pushed me toward being a changemaker in the world and the community. They also taught me to believe in my brown skin!!! They taught me that my black was beautiful!
My mother, Shirley Washington – She is my hero. Life wasn’t always kind to her; all I saw was her survive, educate herself, and push through whatever life gave her. She ensured we had hot meals and a roof over our heads and was consistent in my and my brother’s lives. She is my hero. She taught me never to give up, take the little, and make it work for you, that more prominent wasn’t always better, and that family was important.
