We had the good fortune of connecting with Uriel Vazquez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Uriel, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Our music inspires people to live together in harmony. The positive messages of our songs along with listening to the sounds of Nature aim to reduce the levels of stress and anxiety in our community.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
NOVA PANGEA is a band dedicated to spreading positive messages through cause-oriented music with a secular-humanist approach. Nova Pangea promotes awareness about environmental protection, animal rights, peace, and the human condition while addressing youth challenges such as domestic violence and bullying.

Uriel Vazquez and Carmina Murillo founded Nova Pangea in 2016, our lyrics feature a variety of languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Hindi, Japanese and English, giving Nova Pangea a world-music rock-fusion edge that also makes our band unique.

One thing we are really proud of is that people understands our mission. Our goal is to inspire people to embrace the richness of diversity through music while including and promoting other artistic expressions that are aligned with our philosophy and culture. Our aim is to motivate people to be proactive in artistic, environmental and humanitarian endeavors to help improve the mental health of our communities.

We want the world to know that through our “Together in Harmony” events and concerts, we aim to inspire a grassroots movement where musicians and artists can join forces to inspire people to live in harmony with the environment. We plan to create a pro-active artistic platform where environmental, humanitarian and animal protection advocates, work together along with artists to join Nova Pangea’s culture “Together in Harmony.”

We want people to embrace the healthy benefits of combining music with positive messages and the connection with nature.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Definitely has to be The Dallas Arboretum, Dallas Museum of Art and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to all my music teachers and musicians who have shaped me into the musician that I am today. They planted the seed of passion for music.
