We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaqueline Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jaqueline, why did you pursue a creative career?
The beauty industry is way bigger than what most people think; it is more than just makeup and cute nail polish, or styled hair, it is an art. Art meaning a place to be creative; being able to build yourself up along with helping others. This is why I chose to pursue a career in the aesthetics field, it allows me to put my creativity to good use while being able to help others not only with their skin, but also with their self-esteem and confidence.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from other professionals in the aesthetics industry is that I seek to bring confidence and results to my clients more than their money. I, myself, know what it’s like to grow up with acne. I understand everything; from the lack of confidence, to frustration. I am most proud to say I have been able to transform so many people’s lives! I get so excited when new clients come to me with the words “i trust you,” knowing that they’ll be taken care of and in good hands. I have always had self-doubt, thus making where I am today a little difficult. There have been many times where I’ve thought about giving up and changing career paths. However, the love and passion I have for skin care is much more greater than any self-doubt I may have. The most rewarding feeling of all, is knowing I made a change in someone’s life and how they view themselves. That is what has helped me overcome any challenges I’m faced with. I want the world to know that when you step a foot into Luxe Bare Skin Esthetics, you are in a place where you feel safe and comfortable. A place where you don’t feel self conscious, a place where you are welcomed.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Bishop arts is one of my favorite places to go to. There is so much to do there! Anything from eating, drinking, dancing & even shopping. Bishop Arts has so many cute boutiques as well as yummy places to grab a bite! Wow Wow Lemonade being one of my favorite places to stop by and enjoy a lemonade ad acai bowl.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents and all of their sacrifices deserve an endless amounts of shoutouts. Although I have the “tough love” many hispanic children receive, without them and all of the obstacles they’ve overcome, I wouldn’t be where I am today. They are my why, the reason I push to grow both as a person and an aspiring entrepreneur.
