We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenneth Eze and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kenneth, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Creating even when I didn’t feel inspired or motivated really helped me create not only better work, but bring ideas to life that I wouldn’t have otherwise paid attention to.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a digital artist that utilizes my emotions to create. I’m different from most artists because I incorporate text in my work in ways most people wouldn’t. I started seriously creating art in 2019 and I’m so proud of how far I have come. I experimented a lot to find my style and what works for me. I’m by no means even close to famous or popular but I managed to grow my twitter account exponentially by having genuine interactions with other artists on the platform. I’m only 20 so I have so much more to do but the biggest challenge I’ve faced what pressure and burn out. I’ve learned that I shouldn’t try to force anything out of myself that I’m not comfortable with. On top of that, I’ve learned that I can only focus on my work and how I’d want to make it better. All in all, I want people to know I’ll be in the digital art scene for as long as possible hoping to someday inspire other artists to keep going.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Though I’ve lived in Texas my whole life, I still haven’t even seen half of the fun things to do. However, I’d take a friend to Deep Ellum first because there’s so many food spots and stores there that everyone has to check out at least once. After that, we’d go to the Bishop Arts District because, though its similar to Deep Ellum, it has an elevated vibe to it. We’d check out some art museums in Dallas or Fort Worth and then I’d take them on the Dart and explore other fun and interesting parts of Dallas. Lastly, I’d bring them to my hometown where we can just sit by the lake and chat about anything that comes to mind.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to give a lot of credit to the people on twitter who believed in my artist vision from the beginning. People like @arrogantkei, @photonisdead, and @solitudeglobal really helped me get the ball rolling and I can’t thank them enough for that.
