We had the good fortune of connecting with Arianna Wellmoney and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arianna, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic career because I honestly could not see myself doing anything else in life! I have always been fascinated with human behavior, experiences and stories – being an actor means I get to embody someone else and live a piece of their life through their eyes, different from my own. Acting allows me to put myself in someone else’s shoes and find the common ground with my own self and the character I am playing. Telling stories through acting gets you involved in a different reality than your own and really makes you realize that, at the core, we are all humans going through life for the first time.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Something I have been really excited about lately has been the production I am in – High School Musical, which will be performed at the Secret Theater (in Woodside, Queens) at the end of April. High school Musical was one of my favorite movies growing up, it introduced me to the world of Musical Theater/films and made me want to perform and follow my dreams. I will be playing the role of Miss Darbus, the teacher that leads the drama club. The students in the show are portrayed by actual teenagers and they have been such a joy to work with. It feels like a good full circle moment in my career and I am so grateful I get to sing all my favorite songs in rehearsal and soon, in front of an audience in the show!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend Gloria has always wanted to visit me in NYC so this is something we would definitely do. I would probably take her to a pier that looks out at the Manhattan Skyline – perhaps the one in Roosevelt Island. I would take her to a Broadway show and show her the Theater District. In Hell’s Kitchen there is one of my favorite restaurants – 5 Napkins. I would definitely take her there and make her try one of NYC’s best burgers. My friends and I always go there and we appreciate the quality of the food.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my parents and family! They have been my biggest supporters since day one. My family lives in Italy but they support my endeavors even from thousand miles away. They are the first people I tell my news to, the first people I share behind the scenes photos to, the first people I tell everything to. I love them so much and I am so grateful to have such a great support system. My parents especially are so important to me and they give me all their love and support.
