We had the good fortune of connecting with Adil Ali and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adil, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I love taking risks. I like to live by the saying, you have to risk it for the biscuit when I come across any decision I have to make. When it comes to these risks, I always lean on my research and analytical skills and trust the results that come out of this. I truly believe that if I have done my due diligence and all signs are pointing towards success in that avenue, it is in my best interest to leverage as much as I can into that area. I am at a stage in my career where I have the backbone to withstand the risk if it does go haywire, while also having the ability to make my career if it goes as planned. I calculate these risks to a T so that the “risk” is minimized as much as possible while maintaining the maximum reward!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a Realtor, I face immense competition with thousands of other Realtors in the DFW Metroplex and I must find a way to set myself apart. I pride myself in making relationships rather than transactions. When someone comes to me to buy or sell a house, I do not see it as a singular transaction, but rather as a way for me to build a relationship with not only that homeowner, but the neighborhood as a whole. I feel like this is one of the best ways to make the clients feel the most comfortable with me and make my life easier by not having contentious relationships. The way I got to where I am today is by leveraging my current relationships and social media. Everyone around me now knows me as the Realtor and I have a ton of conversations every day with people I know about real estate. I have also branded myself very well on all social medias obtaining thousands of followers on instagram @adilalire; most of my clients currently have come from my social media. When it comes to actually selling someone’s house, I love leveraging this social media I have for marketing purposes as it gives the property a wider reach as well. My main challenge, being a 23 year old, is having people doubt me and my knowledge/experience. I overcome that by simply showcasing my maturity and in depth knowledge through my speaking power and overall knowledge of the market. Every single time someone has taken the time to reach out and talk to me, they come back to me later saying I am the most mature 23 year old they have seen and have more knowledge than 95% of people they have talked to. The main takeaway from me would be that I am the hardest working and most driven real estate agent you will ever meet, no matter if it be buying or selling I can assure you that you will not leave the table being anything less than extremely satisfied with my service.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Dallas is known as a town for its food, so I would assess their likes regards to food and take them around the city to various spots and show them what good Texas food looks like. For dinner and evening plans, I will surely take them to Deluccas, a Gaucho styled pizza place, where you get unlimited gourmet pizza followed by a Mavs game as I am a season ticket holder.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and girlfriend. My mom, dad, and sister have played amazing roles in being that backbone I need to sustain these risks and really push me forward in my career and let me be me. My girlfriend has always been there for me, helping me in any regards as needed, whether it be a design question or with my social media, she is just amazing and ready to help me whenever I need.
